Yeh, used to be a few days of a wait (vs immediate via prime), but now they sit on the order for almost 2wks before it moves at all.
And then itâs practically overnighted by UPS/FedEx⌠:person_facepalming:
Both, likely.
In that almost 2wks time, Iâve had as many as 4 orders thrown into the same box, which is pretty much their intent, to âbundleâ what they can. Ie, they donât know if youâll order anything tomorrow or the day after, so theyâll sit on it for a week or two to find out.
And if thereâd be little difference between prime and free (ie, a few days, vs 2wks), more people would opt out of prime.
I have zero interest in amazon video or amazon music or any other âservicesâ they offer except for free/fast shipping. I was tempted at first, when it was like 30bux/yr then later even like 50bux/year. No idea what it is now, but that other stuff is what youâre paying for. No thanx.
I ordered a Wowtac A5, I changed the shipping speed and received it the following day. I also ordered my mother a floor buffer for mothers day (lame i know) when I changed the speed it pushed it out a day. For next 2 days I tried again with the same result and have now pushed it out 3 additional days. It appears to only work on certain items. So DONâT keep clicking the button like I didâŚ. I guess my mother will be getting her buffer for fathers day this year.
Up late watching riots I mean protests while browsing lights. Noticed Wowtac W1 is $19.99 and ZeroAir 15% coupon works too. Check out that review for code.
This is a nice solid little light. I am gonna get a second one.
Move over Imalant MS18âŚI just saw two flashlights on ebay, 1 is 990,000 lumens, and another that is 58 million lumens on wish. Itâs on ebay and wish, so it has to be true. The 58 million lumen one is only 16 dollars and is charged by usb. Thatâs right Kmart shoppers, 58 million lumens in a light charged by that 5 volt usb connection.
I dont own this light but I have owned a few wowtacâs and theyâre decent. I just saw the deal while surfing. Might interest some and it might not but seems from the description to be a nice 18650 light for the money, comes out to be about $24 bucks with the 20% off coupon for a wowtac A6 using a sst40 cool white. https://www.amazon.com/WOWTAC-A5-3650-recargable-superbrillante/dp/B081J51786
The A7P head threads are a little on the loose side but it doesnât require wrenching it on to work. Button is stiff enough to resist accidental activation. TIR lens is kinda throwy, may sand it down for more spill. Doesnât have a moonlight which is fine for work. The low level is bright enough to cover most lighting needs in an already well-lit environment, high mode is plenty bright but will burn through batteries. Eneloop work fine in this.
I like the A3 with Nichia. Itâs cheaper and slightly smaller than a few others, it resets to low (about 3-5 lumens) after a few seconds and thereâs no PWM in any modes. Mine is labeled as A3 but it has Nichia 219c.
Speaking of penlights. Wurkkos WK01 is $12.99 The description is way off. One of the reviews say Moonlight-High-Low with memory that resets. Looks like Sofirn SF02. Easy to do led swap.
Thanks for that info! With this tint and UI it will get plenty of use.
Iâm not militant about PWM but some lights really miss the mark by having too low frequency. The fact that I wonât have to mod it is money in the bank.
Looks like youâve already been down the penlight path pretty far, Iâm a ways back still but working on it.
This crazy hobby! As my life changes so do my lighting needs so it seems like thereâs always something new to try. I donât need nearly as much light at my new job but still need some light. These are small and light and donât weigh me down. Eneloops make it an affordable solution.
Folomov EDC C2 with Nichia E21A is on sale at $22.75, plus an additional 20% off coupon is available, bringing the total including whatever tax down to under $20.
The C2 is a neat flashlight if you can look past their choice of non standard battery. 14300 (250mAh) unique proprietary VS. 14500 (up to 1200mAh) standard commonly available . Iâll have to pass.
