$30 sounds nice but Is this gonna be a flooder or more of a thrower?
Considering the leds and rather shallow reflectors i’d bet on a somewhat balanced beam with a bright but large hotspot and a lot of flood around… Wait and see.

The first is a 6/12 Volt led.
The second is a 3 Volt led so you don’t need a boost driver or multiple cells to power.
Thanks. Yes the reflector is rather shallow. Hopefully this will be a combination light, I like the pronounced hot spot and hate wasting lumens on the side spill. I like the beam profile of Nightwatch NSX3 , also 3 emitters but sst-40 , a large hotspot that travels quite a distance. Hate everything else about the light though. I guess we wait and see what the beam profile will be.
Very interested

Maybe you should look at the FT03… bigger but designed for throw. If you want smaller a simple C8 or GT Mini may fit your needs better?

This will be significantly more floody than the NS43.
Look at the cd/lm between the 43 and 53:
