How did you find the colour-temperature of the Nichia 219C version? Do you happen to know the same for the Cree XPL CW emitter?
M4DM4X, do you also have any codes for the Tool AA 2.0 Ti - titanium edition from Banggood, AliExpress, or Nealsgadgets? It's now revised with the copper (more like brass) section in the head.
Preferably from Neal, else AE as the official Lumintop shop has choice of emitter tints and can supply with cell, which BG does not.
I've passed on the FW21 Pro because of the tail switch, so very much interested in this side switch version! It's somewhat along the lines of the Amutorch X9, but the X9 has to be modded of course to get Anduril in it, and change out the LED's to preference.
Yes, the sideswitch version is very interesting ! But no SBT90 LED, thats to much for this small torch and it would be only a “Blitzlicht”…
A single XHP50B NW or XHP35 Hi could be a great combination with a nice beamprofile…
Suggestion: Add full knurling to the body tube. Unlike with the tailcap switch FW3A’s cigar grip, the most natural position to hold a side-switch light is a handshake grip with your palm around the body tube and thumb on the button.
With the cigar grip, you don’t necessarily need knurling on the body tube since the goal is for the fingers to slip up to the raised tailcap with the thumb on the tailswitch.
However with a handshake grip, the light will feel a lot more secure in the hand with knurling on the body tube.
Lack of knurling on the body tube was one of the major criticisms with the Emisar D4 that was fixed in the D4V2. It would be best not to make that mistake with this new light.
I would really like a side switch FW21 Pro version in silver to gray, xpl hi or similar. I also like the smoothness of standard version through. Bought 3 Convoy S2+ butt button lights, that is enough
Well the XHP35.2 domed ones are same 12V, same rated Vf, same rated amps, so nothing new or better (https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/52143). If the HI version was 3V and could take very high amps, then it becomes interesting. Something like a SBT90.2 but in a reasonable size package at a reasonable cost.
As the happy owner of the XHP50.2 in 18650 I see the SB90.2 in 21700 as the logical step up. In fact a big WHY NOT? A question to you Martin or any of our experts. How many lumens do you expert from this set-up?
