Learning about reps was one of the most fascinating rabbit holes I’ve fallen down. It did a lot to make me question the prices some brands sell their products for, especially a particular one using off-the-shelf Valjoux movements and very simple cases selling for $5-15K+…
Yeah I’m not a fan of mechanical movement reproductions, or anything over $15

This fake, the nomos, fakes a watch that is automatic, but the fake is quartz
what makes it ‘work’ visually is that the second hand is so tiny you can;t tell it is moving once a second.
