Emisar D3AA is available now

Same here. This light is grossly overbuilt which is OK in general but not what I’m looking for.

Single cell with 3*SBT90.2, trendy 250W output, ultra low body weight at 25grams, reviewers then complain of direct drive circuitry not being efficient at
1W output and heating up too much at 250W output.

Looks awesome, Hank!! Stoked for details.

Do you have a timeline for when the Nichia E21A will be available in the KR4?

I hope it’s an 8 or 9 emitter 21700. I don’t like how after the fins it’s completely smooth. IMO it looks a bit too plain. Maybe make it more aggressive like the K1.

KR1 was made complement the KR4, it is 18650.
Head diameter 35mm, length, 110mm.
W1 110Kcd, W2 100Kcd. XP-L HI 45Kcd

Due to this year’s complicated situation this has been slowed down a lot.

Awesome! Thanks, Hank! Any timeframe on the Nichia E21A? And will a range of temps be offered for that emitter?

The E21A LED should be available by June.

That looks really great, Hank.

18650? :person_facepalming:

SBT90.2 mule on KR1? :smiling_imp:

Yeah, 3*SBT90.2

Now we need a K1 mini (D1s replacement).

@Hank Wang

Title of your new light says QUAD.

NOCTIGON KR1 QUAD TAIL E-SWITCH 18650 POCKET THROWER

The 18350 variant is very cute.

Why do you want to use SBT90.2 as a mule? It’s amazing as a thrower but if you want a mule, rather it be the much cheaper and more efficient XHP50.2

The KR1 is like a tailswitch D1, not D1S.

Put a boost driver and XHP35 HI in that and I’d be quite tempted.

Arg now to decide between the W1 or W2 the specs difference isnt as big as with the K1….

Exactly my thoughts. I don’t think a 10% increase in cd from 100k to 110k would be that noticeable. Whereas an almost 50% increase in lumens from 900 to 1300 would be.

It is not noticeable that 10Kcd extra.
But hey people think F1WA is a thrower with 35Kcd.

Hank any chance you will be able to source the W1.1 and W2.1. I think with the W2.1 in the KR1, it might even out throw the W1
