The There Are No Stupid Questions Thread

Here is what the menu looks like.

I did 2 clicks in the first menu option (enable locator function), but in your instance you want to do 2 clicks in the second menu option.

It does:
2 fast blinks and 1 slow
2 fast blinks and 2 slow
2 fast blinks and 3 slow

Ignore the fast blinks and count the slow ones. Make sure you see the confirmation blink when you do your clicks. Change one thing at a time.

Thanx Jason for the vid and info! Keep on forgetting about your vids - lots of resources around.

It’s not too hard for me to do a video on a very specific menu function for NarsilM or Anduril. I think the video above is close enough to figure it out.

If anyone needs a very specific video, let me know.

Anyone here a fan of “The Great Escape” movie?

I just watched it again recently and got to thinking… is there anything Cooler (McQueen) could’ve done differently in the motorcycle chase scene? I was thinking he should’ve broken into that small barn and hid with the motorcycle until very early morning the next day to make a run for Switzerland.

So the question — what do you think Cooler could’ve done differently to effect a successful escape?

I haven't seen it in decades, and I don't have an answer for your question, but I love the movie The Great Escape.

Thanks. I figured I’d ask it here, since this is the “no stupid question” topic. I agree, it’s a great movie… and I’d had about an 8 year gap on seeing it. I did fast-forward through parts. When you’re familiar enough with a movie & watching it alone, no point in having to “wait” for the parts you really want to see.

I was thinking similarly, to hide in that barn, sneak over to the wall-o’-wire and try to get through it with the ’cycle late at night, when no one was around.

Always wondered how Stonn (Lawrence Montaigne) got caught. He was good to go on the train, and then…??

Glad it worked out!

Can I direct drive 3 219b’s off a vapcell 9A 18350 safely?

The title of the thread means the OP has never been in my neck of the woods. Stupid questions around here abound.

You might try asking M4D M4X. I think he has a 219b FW3A and he has a lot of 18350 cells. Last I heard it was a bit iffy with high drain 18650, but the 18350 might be okay. He might know for sure.

I think M4X might be on vacation. Try asking in the FW3A thread. They sell a 219C version which I think has similar characteristics to the 219B.

Cooler set a pattern familiar with the guards.

Are you asking a question? I’m lost.

Shaka, when the walls fell.

Mirab. With sails unfurled.

Kiteo, his eyes closed.

Darmok & Jalad on the ocean.

My not stupid question is:

Does speed of charging affect li ion battery life, performance, etc? The other day it took my nitecore D2 charger about 5 hours or so to charge one 18650. Later that day I charged my Bosch compact drill li ion pack (which looks like 3x 18650s) on it’s “30 minute” charger. So it charged 3 18650s in—you guessed it—30 minutes. I did not have a way to test capacity. Is that healthy for a battery to be charged that quickly? If there’s no problem with fast charging, why don’t we see more of it with chargers and flashlights.

Separate note. I wish my LT1 charged quicker. (How much would usb-c to usb-c improve this?)

What is the Voltage rating, current and mAh/Ah rating of that battery pack?
Also what is the output the power brick puts (the charger)?
