you can make copper lose its patina, even inbetween the knurling, by soaking the light in ketchup… but, that produces a dull pink color, not shiny. Basically the vinegar in the ketchup, and the acid from the tomatoes, etches the copper.
when I want to polish my copper, I use a jewelers rouge cloth, or a yellow sunshine cloth. It only gets the high spots though…
I was thinking of getting another one. And if for normal emergency purpose, will the cree gives more usable light or is negligible. The Cree will suck tint wise. And I don’t like cold white.
But will it be more helpful in dark basement or dark building car parking space.
shipping will be about that much,
ask the seller, he is very helpful and I believe he will mail to you.
PM me if you want me to remail to you
Here is my latest clip install, it is deeper carry, and I am very happy with the hatclip configuration. (bezel up for handsfree clipped to a hat brim)
I added an extra O ring between the lens and reflector to install the clip above the brass pill.
IF I had a thin metal washer, I could install below the brass pill.
I tried making a ring from steel wire… it was too thick and the light did not work… The extra washer under the lens is working well…
…
ps, the CuTool is no longer on sale, but that did not stop me from ordering another one.
Ordered the 2 clips. But I can’t seem to find a Tool AAA Ti Nichia anywhere. But the clips are just right, and I’ll find a use for them. One can go right on my Tool AAA Cu Nichia.
I have bought the blue Ti Tool from Drop.
The color of this blue Ti Tool is not as (solid) blue as the edges of this post, for instance.
It is more like a blueish haze on the titanium surface. Nothing like the blue Sofirn.
I am (a bit) colorblind, and I like them both.
Did you guys feel that the button below the steel cap is a little offcenter? Or its just mine? The steel button on top sits flat, but when you press it, you can feel that the underlying button is a little offcenter. I hope I am able to describe it correctly.
