Image Boss! (no politics, no sexy pics) Have fun. ❤️

Souichirou gets an honourable mention for the Discworld, and G0OSE gets one for excellent use of the expression ‘flat Earth’ but, I have to give it to raccoon city this time - who’d’ve thought it would make TV news…

Shouldn’t that last image motif have fallen flat?

Thanks!

Let's continue with this theme...

I'd like to see images related to conspiracy theories (other than the flat earth one).

Well to continue with the theme, I hope this counts…

Tv sports presenter turned raving loonatic David Icke - this was so bizarre, I remember it well - one day he’s doing sports, next day he’s in the headlines for being raving mad! very weird.

QAnon

Okay, I like this pic the best, so the new Image Boss is leftdisconnected!

Sorry I’m late, but very busy and exhausted…

Let’s see images of weird or interesting clocks. Large and weird is a goal, but I’ll also favor clocks that are extremely hard to tell time by, including some of the insane binary/octal/etc clocks that make nerds feel they are smarter than everyone else  .

Edo Period (1603–1868)
Incense Clock

Spread a line of incense powder over a surface using a wooden frame (for alignment) and place time tags at regular intervals to mark time according to the speed at which the incense burns.

Joseon Water Clock, National Palace Museum, Korea

MB&F Octopod Clock By L'Epée

Last bump call…

By the time you figure out the time, you’re late for work.

Yup…. I see such clocks as weirdly humorous art pieces, because they defy the very intention of being a clock. Clocks are supposed to be able to rapidly tell the viewer what time it is, yet many people have designed “alternative” clocks that do the opposite; they effectively display the time in an openly visible, yet secret, manner. They are a secret code for conveying time information and thus, become some sort of anti-clock.
