Got my ti tool yesterday v2 with brass bit. I’m pretty blown away with how nice it is. Glad I’ve got two ally ones to mess about with modding.

AFAIK there IS NO word for brass in Chinese. At the most it is called yellow copper
And why stating the obvious if everyone can see on the picture that it is yellow.
So what you know to be brass is most of the time just called copper.
Maybe one of you may feel the urge to add a new word to the Chinese language. Be my guest.
And while you’re at it, do bring them on speed regarding beads, bulbs and files. Have fun.
they mean Yellow Copper (brass)
To the Chinese, as the Dutch, brass is yellow Copper, and copper is Red Copper, but I agree Chinese flashlights often dont specify, and just say “copper” for brass.
“Geel koper” (yellow copper) is a bit oldfashioned, more usual is the word “messing”.
I’ve received today “copper” pill for ToolAA and scratched the bottom. It is brass.

If so, why are they using different materials?
from the photo, the AA Copper tool looks like copper not brass
I hope someone (maybe you?) will confirm, when they receive the light
copper = red copper = purple copper
brass = yellow copper = “messing”
So they do know the difference but are calling the New Ti with copper, which it isnt.
But when they are making a New AA copper, they make it of real copper, which sounds a little crazy.
Would it be a cost thing?

The ‘Full’ Copper Tool is indeed actual (Raw/Red) Copper. No coating, will patina.
The Ti Tool (new edition) has a brass (yellow) section in the head.
Not sure if the outer ring is actually Brass or a plated surface as on their clips and Lumintop Prince Mini...
Does the copper head split in two parts like the ti version?

Hi all after speaking with someone from lumintop it turns out it’s not brass. It is a coated red copper piece. Looking closely at mine where the bunny is etched in there’s definitely a hint of copper showing through. Bit hard to capture on a photo as it’s so shiny.
Hard to believe it’s copper with a coating tbh. Looks verry much like brass.
If so maybe someone is willing to polish the coating off.
best i can do at the min to show it. If someone can rip that pic and post it would be great but im still learning my way round here and haven’t got that bit quite figured out.
