groupbuy: Astrolux MF02S SBT90.2 (600kcd) ONLINE

cell setup is 2S1P or 2S2P

the extension tube should work as well

My modded MF02 with 4P battery setup and fet DD driver making 5830 lumens and 660 kcd with SBT90.2 and 4x Samsung 30Q batteries.
So I think the Kcd is right but the current and lumens rating too high. I tried everything to lower resistance. Bypassed springs in carrier. Double wire bypass on driver center spring. One of them is a 18AWG and go through the PCB and soldered directly on LED+ wires. Maybe with doubble led wires and VTC5A cells I can gain a bit but not much.
But I think this will be much better from factory than the FT03S.

Interested, depending on firmware

Can we trust Astrolux to make a decent buck driver? For a claimed… let’s see, 4700lm continuous, that’s gonna be around 16A continuous to the LED. ~56 watts continuous output.

Will it have the same dreadful parasitic drain my original MF02 has? Never saw four entire 18650s drain so fast in a light that was “off”…

Probably not my budget but I’m interested.

Probably will be more expensive than the FT03S SBT90.2, since this this MF02S will throw farther.

Wonder how these will compare: MF02 XHP70.2 vs FT03S SBT90.2 vs MF02S SBT90.2

I presume this may run Anduril firmware?

OTF lumens would be less. It would need to be over 20A for 4700 lumens.

Interested in final price might want 2 of them for presents

lol, of course I’m interested

Ouch, is that consider close to 6000 lumen for MF02S?

Astrolux always confuse me with their ratings. The XHP35 HI was overrated at 630Kcd and this might be underrated at 600Kcd. I spoke to Ben Tang from Mateminco a few months ago and he said that the lights are measured by different people. That could explain why the numbers don’t make sense sometimes.

Interested depending on price.

Also very interesting! … This comparison will undoubtedly put them, each in its place, given: thermoregulation, viability of the diode and cells, size, weight, convenience = price))
