Well heck, sorry to hear that. If you unscrew the section behind the clip it will expose the switch and you can try the switch without the rubber cover or silver button potentially interfering.
Possibly use some fine tweezers to make sure the driver is in firmly and the switch as well. Can’t be much more than that?
Or do what non-flashoholic people do: send it back and have a new one sent!

Yeh, I found out the hard way trying to stick in the cells that the tail only covers the switch end.

After it went mental, that’s the first thing I did, got rid of the interference and tried bapping the nekkid button. Still no joy.

So yeah, already put in for a return, Mr Oops is gonna pick it up tomorry.

Oh yeh, the other one’s nice. Makes a better vampyre than a 1×AAA light. Tossed in some dead cells, still lit up with rather decent brightness whereas my Wuben/Ultratac 1×AAA lights wouldn’t even turn on.

Thanks for the heads up . They are a kick arse light. Bought a 2nd one just for future use.

Got mine today and I agree with Kuoh.
It is pretty darn nice. The matte black ano is really nice, nice threads too.
Each led can light individually. Very bright with a 18650 and not as bright with AAA’s.

But I can’t turn the darn thing off!

Hjeh, sounds just like my Ultratac…

You have to use 2 half clicks to change modes.
After the first half click the light is off, the second half click turns on the led.

So is it really off after the first half click…I don’t know….

On the Vodka.
Here’s what I read, fast and dirty;
First mode, both candles lit = 5.54 amp
Second mode, bigger reflector = 1.10 amp
Third mode, small reflector = 1.85 amp

Do no show any draw in between clicks but you must make contact with battery twice to change modes, bizarre. My meteris cheap, not a Fluke so there may be residual bleed that I can’t read but it has to be low if there.
All readings with low ohm purple IMR battery, has a big diamond with and E stenciled inside, whatever that brand is. Voltage before readings 4.15
Will check with Samsung 30Q as soon as it is topped off but these purples are usually a hair hotter than the 30Q

With Panasonic 3500 measured just over 5.04 on First mode.

Update; Just tried sample #2 and it wasn’t as high amp draw, off like 1 amp on high. Got battery tube loose (this one had brown glue) and cleaned edge of contact on paper and re assembled and got more power, went to 5.12 so still not as good as #1 but battery hasn’t been recharged either so will see when retested.

Another trick if you don’t care about water, flip over the conical ring, makes a good cigar grip.
Very interesting light for $5

I got my Vokka today. I’m ready to just toss it in the trash. It’s the worst light I’ve ever held, lol. The UI is garbage, the emitters suck. And it’s not even worth as a host since the body is way too huge for an 18650 but still doesn’t fit any other battery. Not worth it.

Yup, at least it was only a fiver

Oh, that's a shame.

It looked like a halfway decent flashlight.

Got mine yesterday. 5.5 amps and 1100 lumens ain't that bad for $5 light w/charger, thrower and flood LED's. Overall quality is decent - I've seen much worse.

I measured the 5.5 amps and lumens (Tom E lumens). 1170 at turn on, 1080 at 30 secs.

Now bout the electronics. It's a conventional power switch driver, except that it does turn the LED's off while still being powered on. 3 pole switch where the 1/2 presses cut power. If the switch is up, the driver has power. So there is a parasitic drain, not measured yet. Besides the ring that uncovers the USB port, the tube and head seem glued pretty good. I did try my sticky gloves but not more aggressive methods yet. I would like to get to the driver. I do see at least one joint at the base of the bezel, just above the removable ring. Least they designed the tail switch to come apart easy enough - the plastic piece with the spring threads into the tail piece.

Yup I’ve spent more for worse, but nothing in this price range has been any better.

Thanks for affirming the amp draw.
Over 1000 lemons after 30 seconds for $5, yeah baby!

The modes are as described, and you can charge with USB, don’t know what the hate is about with some members about this flashlight.
It cost less than a Value meal at McDonalds

The driver looks like pressed in from the front/top and I saw the gap you are talking about at the edge at the base of the bezel, head seems glued good, batt tube gave up after just giving a good grip and reef on it.

Thing seems to heat up nicely, controlled if you will.

Price is now $10.99

No “hate” from me, just learned my lesson with the dreaded AT01. What a POS each of those were… Most 9-LED craplights had better quality than those.

Then again, remember the Tacklife? That was a great investment; wish I would’ve gotten more. Got some diffusion film on it (inside, between reflector and glass), and it’s a kick-arse (now-)floody light that daylights what’s in front of me. Absolutely great all-around-the-house light.

Anyhoo, I’d wait for reviews first before getting burned again on an unknown. :stuck_out_tongue:

(At the moment.)

Woohoo! I win!

Yoink!

I got two of those Tacklife’s and it was a great deal, especially with the included quality battery.

This Vokko is a letdown, but for a fiver it’s not the worst light either. Luckily I have lot of people to gift lights to and it’s already gone.

I put a fresh charged yellow 18650 at 4.16v 2 days ago.
I used the light for about 2 mins total on low and I just checked the cell it reads 4.07, that’s not good right?

Is there parasitic drain using 3 AAA?
