I was hoping to find one with a chipped or damaged blade but may have to pay the $3**.00 for one of the few nos available if I can’t. It’s a shame to leave these CPM S60V (440v) blades sitting unused.

Wow! That’s a blast from the past! I remember vividly that model with the colorful scales and that super recurved blade. Best of luck!

I finally found a Kershaw Ken Onion Boa 1580MCST for what I consider a decent price. It has a minor scratch on the blade and minor wear to the anodizing on the pocket clip and screws but it still has the factory edge. Fortunately I should be able to order a clip and screws from Kershaw. Time to sharpen a couple of the replacement non-serrated blades.

I’ve got one of these with the part serrated blade… Plain black unfortunately. I got it pretty inexpensivly used and sent it to Kai for a sharpen and tune. I think they hit the blade with a file and sent it home. Had a huge burr, it sitting in my knife case with it’s other ken onion friends

Looks like the cheapest Kershaw Boa on eBay right now is $172, and that's for black.

I wouldn't mind having one, but the most I'll spend on a knife is about $50

I wonder if they’re actually selling at that price

So what’s the draw to this knife? The scales?

It's a Ken Onion design, with premium steel, and it's been discontinued for quite a while (so it's tough to find.)

That's probably part of the reason it sells for so much.

I always forget how much Ken Onions go for especially since he hasn’t designed wild knives for a while. I have quite a few pieces of his but stopped using them once I started sharpening my own stuff and hating working on recurves.

I received the Kershaw Boa today. The listing photo seems to show scatches on the blade but in person there’s a bit of wear to anodizing on the clip and pivot screw but the blade and scales are like new. Date stamp indicates it was made in November 2000.
