Hi, I am AliExpress!

Yes, website very bad.

Very very bad.

Sadness, sorrow.

Is this account run by AliExpress corporate in China, or a subdivision devoted to US customers?

Is there a way you can confirm that this is really aliexpress talking and not somebody that gives us affiliate links?

Sounds a little like a haiku!

Although the search function on AliExpress is horrible, I find good deals on the site on a semi-regular basis.

anything i find is in spite of the web site

they would sell a lot more if anyone could find anything!

Is this really Aliexpress? I doubt it.

I agree completely.

That was my first thought when I saw this thread, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Only time will tell.

And stop charging US “sales tax” which never gets remitted, but is only an extra 10% price-hike on anything bought.

(Which is why I stopped buying from AX.)

Very sneaky. More sadness. More sorrow.

More anger.

Welcome.

What’s up with charging buyers for using Paypal? Almost 10%?
You already charging the sellers so why double dipping?

Who designed your website. same people at Purn Hub?

That sounds more like a sale pitch then a CS rep.

Welcome and bring it on.

It would be nice to know whether you can relay/handle comments, suggestions and issues in a productive manner… or are just here to sell us more stuff.

Welcome, glad you found us! Please feel free to contact me via private message if you have any questions, and don’t forget to carefully read the BLF Rules for Commercial Sellers.

(I have reason to believe that this user does indeed work for AliExpress / Alibaba, it would be interesting to know exactly in what capacity.)

When I want something directly from China and I'm interested in customer reviews, I usually go with AliExpress.

The customer reviews on AX aren't perfect, but they have helped me make buying decisions plenty of times.

Do you think they’re usually legitimate and non-manipulated? (This is an honest question, not trying to prove a point.)

Yes, but I prefer the reviews on Amazon, for example.

They seem to be better quality reviews.

And, yes, I know there are a lot of fake Amazon reviews on many items, so they're not perfect either.

In China.

Thank you and for reaching out to our little enthusiast forum. Can you relay the percentage of flashlight sales you are seeing over time? I’m very curious as to the trend (e.g. since 2010). Thank you!

Welcome AliExpress,

I assume it's not Jack Ma himself we are talking to, right? :-D I agree with the other ones that your website really needs some work, both performance-wise and design-wise. Apart from that I always had good experiences shopping on your site. Customer service is good and reliable.

Concerning the reviews on AX:

Likewise to Amazon I first look for the ones that are neither 5 stars nor 1 star ratings. These kind of ratings are actually very rare but look most legitimate and not manipulated. I can't help but suspect that most reviews/ratings are faked because in 99% your will find 5-star ratings in the big majority no matter what you look for.

Yes I agree, the search is horrible compared with similar websites like Amazon. Please fix. And welcome to BLF! Hope you are really from Aliexpress.

yeah!

why has ‘aliexpress’ not responded to any improvement requests

wle

I'm not a huge fan of Amazon's search function either, though it is better than AX.

eBay seems to have a really great search engine, in my opinion.
