any idea where i could find a replacement?

I think that C8 lens is the same size

Yes, my KD C8 lens fits nicely.

Great, now how does one get a KD C8 lens? Where can they order one? That is what Sparky needs.. Wink

International Outdoor sells AR coated 42mm lenses for C8's at $1.95ea with free shipping if you get three (no brainer to me to get three). Says 98% transmittance. I just received an order from them placed 4/17/12, shipped 4/18/12, arrived 5/5/12.

Ordered a pair of M10s from ebay to mount on my bicycle back in early May. They finally arrived late last week. One was non-functional (LED leads appear to have been pinched-off when the head was assembled) but the fix was simple enough. Paired them with TF 26650s and finally got a chance to do some dusk riding tonight to test them out.

Previously, I'd been using my Fenix TK45 (3x XPG-R5, 760lm) on the bicycle so that's what I'll compare them against. Sorry, no beamshot comparisons.

Here are my observations in no particular order:

1) These guys are being sold on ebay as 1600lm lights. I knew before I ordered that it was inflated so I'm not upset about that. I don't have any measuring equipment but bouncing the light off the ceiling yields roughly the same amount of room illumination as the TK45.

2) The TK45, being basically pure flood, illuminates the whole road/trail ahead and a good amount of stuff off to either side. It also tends to annoy oncoming bikers. In contrast, the M10s project a well-defined hotspot. They do have usable spill but it's not the soft wall of light that the TK45 produces.

3) After ~30 minutes of 12-15mph riding in 77F ambient temperatures with the M10s both on 'high', the heads were warm. I'd guess around 90F. So the heat fins work okay. I wonder, though, if they'd perform better if they ran parallel to the length of the body.

4) I was passed by a number of cars tonight and as they passed me, I compared their headlight beam patterns and brightness to bicycle. My lights were comparable in brightness to a pair of older car headlights. All of the cars with HID headlights were definitely brighter.

Verdict... I don't think I'd be comfortable with just one M10 on the bike. I'm too spoiled by the TK45's spill. A pair of M10s, one aimed 15ft ahead and the other aimed 40ft ahead, works okay. The best solution, though, is probably to pair a single M10 with another XML light with a smaller reflector. (edit: original 15ft & 20ft distances were too close. definitely had a few seconds to react to objects in the combined elongated hotspot so the second light had to be aimed further out...)

sacra, great report!

Like you, I am bicycle and just recently turned into a flashlight person too.. I run a lot of lights on my bikes, all road bikes, and all lights are run in PAIRS.. The M10 is my favorite, and I run it just like you found out. In pairs, one a little further then the other.. Also, to assist the pair of M10s, I run a 26650 helmet light too..

Just checked on the TK45, wow, the M10 should just take a bow for even being mentioned in the same sentence with a TK45!!! Laughing I can get 5, 6 or maybe SEVEN M10s for the price of one TK45!! :) Also, for my bikes, I like the short form factor lights. The M10 fits right in.. Also, if you haven't checked it out, here is a another winner in cheap, powerful light with short form factor, and cheap price.. Got a pair of these too..

Again, nice report and safe riding to you,

for $18.89?

Just tested one of my Keygos M10. 4,88A with 26650 KK ICR, charged to 4,15V.

Dam viffer, that is the M10, alias, JM07 or JM05…Anyway, I need another M10 like I need a hole in the head. Got 3 of them…Howwever, the lights that I like and have the offer option, I can’t resist!!

I offered $16.00 Hoping they don’t take it…

Not sure if something is loose or if my 18650 isn’t dishing out the amps necessary but the brightness fluctuates. It’s a great size and nice beam, hopefully I figure it out.

Edit: the lights is working fine now, after I loosen and tightened the head. Yeehaw

Have them both. The a8 is way better built and a real flood torch. The M10 can throw… but I love my A8 !

I really should stop coming back to this thread…… Just checked eBay, an m10 is running at twelve quid, an m10 two cells and charger twenty four quid and an a8 with charger and cell is twenty six quid……

I see another 26650 light being bought next month, probably an m10 - the spare cell can run the “deal” I jumped on yesterday, that 26650 uf980 clone  then I can get an a8 and head strap as my car edc

Get an A8 …. An amazing quality light ! Won’t be dissapointed ……

Ah, but if I get the m10 then the a8, all my 26650 lights will have 26650 cells in two deliveries.

Well, I bid on an m10 with two cells and charger from cyberport888. We shall see. I’ll go for the a8 next, its just the spare 26650 has a home already on the way…

Well, £26.80, its paid for, I’d guess I’ll have it before our caravan holiday on the fourth of august

Got one… But mine is a Skyray M10 …. I guess they are all the same …… Bright as hell….

there are a lot of light on ebay, are so beautiful.i think the quality is also good.lol
