I don’t see it on mine, but I do hate the switch and not so easily fixable. The switch is soft and the boot too far off from the switch. Can’t epoxy the tip of the switch because of clearance getting it down the tube to mount. Cant’ seem to get the boot off either.

I’d hate this, too. And an E3S is on it’s way to me, likely having the same problem.

I once fixed this problem with a piece of rubber glued into the boot (Olight M20 Warrior with a M20SX tail switch assembly). Worked well.

Ok, I received the E3S today. Even though I thought it was a dumb move because of the E3 button issues, I think the E3S's button is improved. I dunno for sure, but I think it feels better, not as much slop. Right now, my E3 is apart so can't compare side by side though. Could be it feels way better than the Amutorch TC500 because I received them together, and wow, the TC500 has really stiff buttons, tail and e-switch.

Haha… well, that didn’t take long. I got an Amutorch E3 in the mail yesterday. I did a runtime test today and after 25 minutes it got hot enough to desolder the ground wire on the MCPCB. The body had hit 75°C. I immediately aborted the test, but the “damage” was done.

On the plus side, I registered 3300 lumens at turn-on with a Molicel P42A and SST20 4000K’s. Much brighter than I expected. But then again, the light paid the price for it. Looks like a custom Anduril2 driver is in order along with some RGB aux (twas my plan all along anyway).
