I understand. Thank you for what you do. I should have checked more often. But since the start of the corona thing I have not been checking the forum as often as I wish.
Well...you don't have to put on the red light... :-D
...apart from using it for "horizontal business" pleasures you could use C01R for:
low light applications like night-camping, cave explorations, stargazing...any scenario that should maintain your night vision capability and/or avoid attraction of nasty insects
ambient illumination in your bedroom / hotelroom / living room etc.
supporting your sleep quality when using as a nightstand light
seeking the way to the toilet at night without waking up your wife, mistress, whatever....happy wife, happy life :CROWN:
giving it away to friends as something special they would not expect in a keychain light 8^)
... no particular reason ... because you just can :P
Barry was so kind to send me two new whitewall beamshots that he took with his smartphone camera. Unfortunately, it is more than difficult to get the same impression (tint, color rendition, actual and perceived brightness) from a picture as you would get with the naked eye. However, let's just consider this as some kind of appetizer before you receive your own lights. :-)
As soon as I receive this light I will do a review including a side-by-side comparison between C01, C01S and C01R as well as a tint comparison with a modded Sofirn SF14 or Wurkkos WK30 with XP-E2 red (625nm).
Picture #1: Low mode (Barry says this mode really dim and barely to catch with his smartphone camera). Maybe this could be ideal for preserving one's night vision when using in darkness.
The official store as linked in the first post only ships to the US as far as i can see.
Their AE store seems to ship to the UK though, thanks! All iāve got to do now is overcome my as yet unexplained phobia of AE.
Not sure if the German Amazon warehouse also ships to the UK but it might be worth a try if you can wait until August 2020. Sofirn told me they will also sell C01R on Amazon. I suppose they mostly use their German warehouse for European customers but they also have domestic (Amazon) warehouses in Italy and UK already.
Thanks, but canāt see the C01R on there, just the S.
Thanks , where are you seeing that? The only shipping details i can see are āShipping costā under which there is āPlease select the country you want to ship fromā, but when i click on it the drop down list is empty and thereās a āNo optionalā statement.
Edit: - Ohhh, turns out that if i select the number of packs i want i then get the full shipping list! So all sorted, thank you all for you help
Thanks. I had a look on Amazon.de but couldnāt see this light. I can wait though
Ah, I get the same āNo optional!ā when I load the page and click āUnited States viaā
You need to select ācolor: Pack of 1ā first, then click āUnited States via Standard Shipping from Chinaā and then choose your country from the drop-down menu that pops up.
It may be a bug with the website. When you first load the page thereās no item selected. It doesnāt seem to know what shipping option to use.
[quote=Light-saber wrote: Sofirn also has an eBay store. C01R and C01S are there for sale. āStandardā shipping from China to the U.S. via SpeedPAK included in price.
Donāt know if they ship to U.K., thoughā¦.[/quote]

Hi Marc, for Sofirnās eBay Storefront, do an advance search by sellerās user ID: sofirnlight
Both the C01R and C01S are still listed as of this moment. One can also contact the seller with questions. Best of luck!
I wouldnāt worry about AE. I havenāt had any problems with them. The search sucks but as long as you know which store you want to buy from then the rest is easy. Iāve only had one faulty item that I had to claim through AE, it was very smooth and painless. For extra protection you can use PayPal, they charge a small fee but then you have added buyer protection with PayPal. I used to use PayPal, but now use a prepaid USD credit card to save a bit on the FX. No problems.
