UFO - ROCK BOTTOM - LIVE GERMANY, 1973

Dear friends and lovers of older music.
I’m sorry to have to tell you, but this is real life.

About our friend atbglenn:

“Glenn passed away in July 2019…”

and a few of Glenn’s memories:

Not sure if i have linked this one before, if not shame on me.

RIP Neil Peart :exclamation:

Sorry to hear about atbglenn.

Hi Bonham,

It’s been a while again.
Thank you for letting us know about atbglenn.
Sad news to hear.
I enjoyed reading all his posts and stories.

RIP Glenn

Here is a song in his memory

Thanks djmcconn and Robowski for the respect of the Glenn! The bass guitar was his great weakness and love, as far as I know…

The Cars - Drive

He’d be smiling for sure.

Best… bassline… ever.

Demis Roussos (RIP) and Vangelis with Aphrodite’s Child - It’s Five O Clock

Sorry if its a repost.

Joan Baez - Sad eyed lady of the lowlands

What a beautiful voice …

How can this thread exist without Sylvia’s mother?

And the early Clash with one of their hit song.
The Clash - London Calling/ Train In The Vain

It seemed it was easier to live at that time!

The story is rich in music. History knows kings, princes, geniuses, but even today - 50 years after his physical death, there is only one God of the guitar and his name is Jimi Hendrix.

The virtuoso left us on September 18, 1970, as if finding a way to escape from here (“There must be some kind of way outta here”, as he sings in “All Along The Watchtower”), but what he left behind was much, especially for a life that lasted only 27 years.

Jimi is one of the most prominent members of Club 27 - a “band” of great musicians and singers who left a huge mark on music, but died only at the age of 27. There, Jimmy is accompanied by Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and others.

AATW always make my hairs stand up.

Needless to say a couple of his albums are permanent residence in my car.

There is someone that made it past 27, but sadly not as far as i would have liked him to.

Needless to sat Texas flood and Couldn’t stand the weather are also permanent albums in my car.

We also use our churches for more sane things.

Thanks for sharing sparkyDK…
I have a lot of colleagues from Denmark and they never mentioned for this.
Cultural differences …

Same old same old, with a little spice for the ear and eye this time, and another venue.

Still good stuff though.

Doctors are against K-19 and we respect their statements.
(Sorry if anyone is affected by the virus …).
