What blade did you EDC today?

That’s not moire, that’s the carbon fiber mat reflection in the mirror polished blade edge. :open_mouth:

How did you get such a great deal? Usually these go for $192 and up.

If you’re on Reddit join r/knifedeals and turn on the notifications. Crazy deals show up from time to time.

Just like the flashlight industry there is a great profit margin with knives, but the only reason MAP and MSRP is enforced a lot more is because knives are highly collective and people tend to be more willing to pay full price. (Chinese) brands knows this, so they only allow distribution to overseas to “authorized dealers”.

Good thing is knives prices are dropping in price fast as American companies scale up production with innovative design selling at a fraction of what they used to charge 3 or 4 years ago. Naturally, most Chinese companies will follow.

Thanks! I hadn’t realized that sub existed. :+1:

Sanrenmu 9305 super slim slip joint:

Very nice looking Sanrenmu. My first time seeing a thumb stud on a slip joint knife. Usually they have a nail nick, or enough of the spine exposed to pinch grip and pull open. . I imagine you cannot flip it open with the studs, but instead use your thumb to slowly push it open?

The idea of slip joint knives makes me nervous for anything more than careful light use.

@Isti242 I just ordered the SRM 9105, now I have to wait…

Small slip joint is all that is legal here, anything locking or anything you can open 1 handed is a no go, if you abide by their silly laws.
So annoyed i cant buy knifes from the greater world, but if i did and it got nicked in customs it would be a 550USD fine, and my permit for hunting weapons and those too would go bye bye.

All of this CUZ some dumb asses cant handle a knife and stick innocent or each other, and then i and the few other sane Danes have to suffer from this. :smiling_imp:

Yes, only slow opening by the thumb stud or by pinching the blade is available.

The handle of my 910plus is more than 2 times thicker than the handle of the 9305.

Got this in recently and did a bit of finish work:

Boker Plus Urban Trapper with bronze anodized hardware and polished G10 scales

^ Those are pretty ones (Anthem & Urban Trapper)! :+1:

Ausgezeichnet as the Germans would say ( hope i did not mess up the spelling, i spell German mush worse than English and i also dont speak it quite as good as English )
And German class in school ( too ) i spent most of those outside of class or at the principals office, and i still got a 9 on a 13 scale ( 3-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-13 ) in it at the verbal exam as i learned it from TV before i got in in school )

The prize on it are also reasonable.

Yes, Ausgezeichnet is correct, but the one who made it is never that much convinced and always finds a detail that could be made better

If the tartan micarta will work out well I must see if bronze is still the best underground for it.
Maybe a blue contrast or polished gold or even pink could look good.

Today’s EDC

Bear Claw Flying Shark kickstop flipper:

The same knife I carry everyday for the last couple od years - Spyderco Endura ZDP-189.

Yesterday I did the dyeing, today I’m EDC-ing it but it is too heavy for everyday.

QSP Worker with carbon fiber/blue G10 laminate scales, RIT-died with “Racing Red” to turn the blue G10 into purple. I found the bright blue G10 too dominant, in purple it blends in more. And purple is my favorite colour

That turned out to be pretty good! :+1:
I also have a racing red RIT laying around I might try on something bluish.

Love the shade of purple on the QSP Worker. Looks awesome!
