What you got today

The smallest diameter TIR zoomie on the market, Coast HP2.
I bought it despite it being a twisty because I hoped with this short zoom travel I’d be able to do a full zoom with one hand.
No chance, it takes 540 degree turn of the bezel to do the entire travel and requires so much force that I can barely move it with one hand.
Zoom travel is huge for a lens this narrow, about 4.5 mm.

The light doesn’t focus too well with the aspheric part. But beam shape is very good at the extreme bezel positions and fair in the intermediate one. In this regard it is the best TIR zoomie I’ve seen so far.

I can’t disassemble it, there’s a retaining ring closing it from the front and it doesn’t have any place to attach any tool, I guess it’s press fit.

Today I got a used Surefire E2E, still in a very good condition with a very little scratch on its bezel.

Thinking to give a “new spirit” with better driver and LED.

Good Luck with that… :+1:

On the 22nd of June i bought a q8 on sofirn’s website

Today I received this message:

“Hello,

Your parcel has been returned. The shipping channel stoped caused by severe epidemic in Brazil. Your orders may need long time to arrive. Would you mind the delayed delivery time?”

I know that we are in difficult times because of the coronavirus and that the news from Brazil is terrible, but I cannot explain the sadness I am feeling.

I was anxious to have a real light, watching my messages 10 times a day and now I’m empty-handed and without hope …

This crisis will not end anytime soon here.

Finally got my red Jaxman E2L today. I’ve been waiting for them to get back in stock since October 2019. Order placed in March.

This is my holy grail cycling tail light (for the moment).

FW21 Pro from neals arrived today, time to light things up!

Scorpion!

This is the biggest scorpion I have ever killed.

I already disposed of the body, but it was at least six inches long.

Pretty creepy.

You get ’em on Amazon?

Yep, with a Vipon coupon it was a pretty good deal.

I don’t want them pre-dead, though. They leak like a Duracell.

What's scary is that during the warmer months (which is most of the year), my sister, niece, and I all walk around the house barefoot.

Today I wasn't really watching where I was walking and I actually stepped over the scorpion without knowing it.

My niece saw the scorpion, I quickly put on some shoes, and you can guess the rest.

I don't think the scorpions around here are deadly, but they are still dangerous.

Bark scorpions are the most venomous scorpion in America.

perfect justification to buy a UV light

Just watch out for those murder-scorpions, though. Those are deadly…

Well, no wonder they’re so pist off…

Like many scorpions, the bark scorpion’s body glows when exposed to ultra violent light.

Great!

Deadly scorpions where I live...

That's just what I wanted to hear.

I think you should reward your niece with the junk food of her choosing.

After that, spend some quality time learning to identify the one you killed. And give her the opportunity to use a UV light, safely, under proper supervision.

this is going to be fun!

every time she finds a scorpion, she gets a reward

wont take long

Wanna hear something funny?

Whenever we kill an animal, like a mouse, rat, scorpion, or snake, we throw the body over a deck that we have.

The body drops about two stories, and wild animals eventually eat whatever we killed.

So we have an official area we use for a body drop.

I sense a new Uwe Boll flick in the making…

“Vermin: The Revenge”

I don't know why, but that reminds me.

We have wild rabbits around here.

Both cottontails and jackrabbits.

My sister has trained my dog to kill small animals, and somehow he has killed at least two rabbits.

(He gets treats when he kills animals.)

So, of course, they went over the deck.
