Lii-500 Failed Today - What's a Good Replacement?

The third slot on my Lii-500 stopped working. It shows the voltage, time and everything but the mah/voltage doesn’t go up. Not sure if it’s the plastic or a component but I think the latter. I usually charge 4 18650s and sometimes 21700s. I always charge at max speed but I have a 140mm fan undernearth. Without the fan it gets hot and gives off a smell kind of like Araldite glue. Doubt it’s even been used 100 times. Is there any fix and does anyone know what might have caused it. Maybe always charging at max current? If it can’t be easily fixed I’ll get a new one. It needs to have the same features apart from the powerbank which I never use.

Edit: A 4.1v limit feature would be nice

My Zanflare c4 has been chugging along faithfully for the last 2 years. I originally got it to refresh laptop pulls and run cap tests. I charge 4 18650s at 1A and run the capacity tests at 500mah (x4 slots) and never had any issues with overheating or weird smells. The iR measurements are fairly accurate amd consistent as well, plus independent charge info for each slot, each slot is independently configurable as well. O consider it still one of the better well-rounded analyzing chargers out there. Otherwise the Opus 3100 is good if you.must have 1A discharge.

How many times has it been used?

I’ve had my Xtar VC4 for I’d say 4 years and use it regularly and it performs as needed with no issues. I’ve probably used it 80 times or so.

I use it around every 2 weeks unless I get a laptop pack then it gets used constantly used. I charge my li ion and nimh cells a lot.

I have a Zanflare C4. probably 3-4 years old. I like it better than the Lii-500, but they are more similar than different. IR works modestly well on the C4, not at all on the Lii.
It developed ‘screen rot’ on the left channel after years of steady use. The readings are slowly disappearing, though still legible. I wrote the place I got it from, and they reimbursed me, no problem.

I also have the Opus BT-C3100 that is even older. It’s more powerful and has more settings and features than the Lii. Personally I think it’s a better charger. Some people don’t like the little whiny fan, or the pulse charging. I have no issues with either of those characteristics. It would be the last charger I’d have if I could only keep one.

Miboxer seems to be well liked recently. No personal experience.

sort of side comment:

Is this the Lii-500 Engineer? I find 21700 batteries to be an extremely tight fit, or won’t fit (only the shortest unprotected 21700 batteries fit. Some unprotected 21700 batteries won’t fit the Lii-500 Engr.

After my Opus failed I did some research and decided to buy a Vapcell s4 plus but didn't order it yet.

Spec and reviewes seems good.
