[Closed] Sofirn C01S with Nichia E21A 98CRI R9050/9080

Important update:

I have now started with the interest list. Please check the OP and let me know if you see anything to change i.a.w. your requested quantity and tint favor. I will regularly update the list.

Unfortunately, I began too late to ask explicitely for the desired quantity and tint versions. So, please excuse if I have put you down for the wrong quantity or tint but I tried to catch the information as best as possible according to your answers. If no quantity or exact tint was expressed I have counted your vote with only one piece and no tint preference. It is very likely that some of you may be interested in more than only one tint. If I have forgotten anybody to include on the list, please let me know so I can update the list. Thanks a lot!

Agro, ch1ir:
I have put you down on list even though you clearly expressed this light is only interesting to you if it works with 10440 cells. For the moment, I cannot tell you if that is going to happen. Please let me know if you want me to change your entries on the list.

Interested in 1 4500k.

Please update my quantities to 3 - 3500K, & 1 - 2000K

Thanks for doing this!

Nice, thanks for your work. Please add me for a 3500K, even if this has little chance.

Would buy:
2x 3500k
1x 2000k
1x 4500k

Interested in 1 @ 3500k

Interested in 1 3500k.

Also interested in 1 3500k

1 @ 2000K please.

Interest update: I’ll be interested in at least two of each tint.

Interested in 4500K.

Interested in 4500k.

1 @ 2000K.

I have a serious weakness for 1xAA 1.5v lights. If a AA version happens I'll be all over that for 3 @ 2000K. Don't care about 14500 compatibility.

Posts from #115 through #130 updated on the list.

Currently, Sofirn is evaluating if this version is feasible in terms of profitability and feasibility as this light will not only need driver adjustments and another LED but also a whole different TIR lens. I gave them those three flux/chromatic bins for 2.000K/3.500K/4.500K that were reported to have great results. However, even if it turns out to be feasible there's still a chance they need to order a different bin from their suppliers. Please take it with a grain of salt, it's usually quite a challenge to source individual flux/chromatic bins. I hope to receive some more information what their management has decided and what bins of the E21A can be ordered.

Once confirmed, I will ask Barry what MPQ (minimum production quantity) is set for this light. For C01R it was around 250 pcs, so may lay guesstimate is that we should aim for at least 500 pcs in total (all tints accounted) to even think about a break-even for Sofirn. However, I might be wrong about this assumption.

Sign me up for x1 2000K.

Please update for me, 1 x 3500k @Lux-Perpetua

You were already on the list for 1x 2.000K. Do you want another one?

Done. :-)
