Dirty Harry,
It worked for it’s time frame. And probably pulled S&W from the brink with M-29 sales alone.
You couldn’t find one for love more money for years and year after that.
When it came out, I had a lab partner in Chem, that looked just like. And I mean exactly like,
Andy Robinson – The Scorpio Killer charcter. Even down to his hair style.
I saw the movie the first night it was in the local theater.
I told Jody (my lab partner) to dress in combat boots, and whatever the character was wearing at the time (I don’t remember anymore).
I had him stand just outside the movie theater exit after the movie was letting out.
You should have seen the looks of the faces of the audience when they spotted him leaning against a light pole just outside.
Funny you mentioned Tremors. They are definitely among my favorites.
I watched all 6 of them many times and don’t get tired.
They are great for entertainment. Not sure why they did not score higher.
I had been avoiding this movie because I thought it wouldn't be that good.
Boy was I wrong.
It has one of the lowest IMDb scores for a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I loved this film.
The acting is great, and the music superb.
There are a few alternative rock songs from the 1990s in the movie that are excellent.
As expected, there is plenty of action too.
I didn't really get into the movie until maybe half an hour into it, but then I really enjoyed it.
I think I didn't like the beginning too much because I was pretty sure I wouldn't like the movie.
But even if the beginning isn't perfect, this is one of my favorite movies.
I think just about every movie in the MCU fits into that category, and now I think I've seen them all.
EDIT:
I just looked it up--I have seen every movie in the MCU, and the only two that I didn't love were The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).
I loved the first one and the second one was pretty good.
The third one was fine but nothing special.
The fourth one was good again, it’s a prequel with one of the original characters playing his own grandfather.
After that all the rest were made for TV with generic cgi effects. Nothing special but still fun if you like the others. Just variations on location, worms in Africa, worms in the Arctic etc.
