Very hot… i recommend for buy handle

Where you ordered from as BG is on preordered?

Unfortunately, the MF02S v2 coupon has expired. Could you give me a new one?

Almost 6 months later, can I have a coupon lol

The groupbuy has ended, but the flashlight is still available. Where is the problem?

No problem, just found it amusing after so long.

Just got kind in last week, love it but notice 30q’s I have won’t hold turbo once they get to about 3.5v each, or so. I may have a bad 30q unnoticed when charging, but that’s a different problem.

Question to anyone who knows-

Can you use flat tops in this MF02s V2? It looks like you can with the brass tabs in the battery tube, it I just wanted to see if anyone has been successfully doing this before I order some Molicel P26a flat tops.

Thanks!

Flat tops work fine  sold a couple with flat tops.

Turbo requires 35A (from memory) and at 3.5v the voltage drop/sag would be unable to allow Turbo.

oh man, thank you Funtastic! that is great information and i really appreciate the quick response to this, very helpful! Looks like P26’s or VTC5a’s are what i need then.

Also, i really enjoy the YT channel, i think it is you that has been posting great thrower reviews lately, convoys, etc? If not sorry, but if it is you, keep them coming they’ve been helping me a lot!

I believe the earlier MF0x models use this kind of battery carrier (with a plastic washer which prevented most flat-tops from making contact — an added protection in case battery is inserted incorrectly)

Newer MF0x series likely use this kind of battery carrier, so flat-tops work now (but be careful not to insert battery upside down, which will create a short and will just burn out the springs, assuming not-so-worse case scenario)

Why anyone would inset the battery upside down is beyond me. The spring side has always been the negative side for decades.

That is a good comment DTA made and reminded me that there’s a long version that uses 8x 18650’s. Do you have the short or long version? The short version can use flat tops no problem, but no idea on the long version.

I haven’t for a little while, but have got a few on there of the Convoy’s. I have another on the way of the Convoy Z1 with Osram CSLPM1 vs SST40 since I can’t find a video of it.

DTA - the short version doesn’t have a battery carrier, only the long version

Sorry, I made a mistake.

I don’t have an MF02S v2 at this time… the pictures were from an MF02 battery carrier and MF04 battery carrier — I thought the MF02S v2 used the same battery carrier as the MF02 and MF04, but it looks like they don’t.

Yes, thank you dta, that is good info.

I have the short version and it does not have a battery carrier, it is “built in” with the tailcap having buttons and springs and a mcpcb screwed in at the head side of the battery tube.

But to agree with Zoulas, I have always wondered how people insert the batteries in the wrong way (i just read a comment a week or two ago about someone ruining a $300 light that didn’t have RPP because the battery went in the wrong way). I guess if you just aren’t paying attention because putting batteries in seems like such a menial task that would make sense. i hope it never happens to me!

yea different carrier because of the 6v / 12v xhp series ( i believe) vs the 3v sbt90.2 although the sbt90.2 is 2s2p, so in actuality they may be the same. Maybe someone else can confirm, i used to own the mf02s xhp70 but i dont remember exactly how the carrier was.
