Spontaneous Giveaway - Wuben TO50R aux boards

It’s been way too long since I’ve done a giveaway. I happen to have 3 aux boards I made for the great Wuben TO50R sitting around that needed a home!

Rules:

  • Post a picture of your TO50R with your soldering iron next to it, proving that you have a use for these. Picture must be yours.
  • Must be a BLF member before today (2020-08-14)
  • I will draw 3 random winners after 1 week
  • This mod is not for the faint of heart. It involves delicately removing the driver from your precious (and expensive) TO50R.

Fine print: I will cover US shipping. International folks may definitely enter but I reserve the right to ask you to pay actual shipping costs if you win (typically $14).

I would love to have one of these, but I have no skills or guts to open that light and install the aux leds :weary:

I’m beginning to think that if you drew a Venn Diagram of (1) people with a TO50R and (2) people that are interested in opening up their flashlight… there’d be a very small overlap :frowning:

Maybe instead of picking 3 people, I could just say “if anyone wants one, just let me know”.

TO50R and a basic soldering iron…

Too bad I don’t have the soldering skills to do such a mod (but hopefully can find someone locally who can do it…).
Also, shipping likely steep to my country.

What size is the MCPCB? This is 23mm.

No need to open it as the 46R is a three emitter light => unfortunately won’t fit.
