NLD Problems w/ Fireflies PL47G2 Nichia 219b

My Fireflies PL47G2 just arrived and I started popping in 21700’s I already had fully charged while the artery it came with charged. When I turned it all the way to the top of the ramp, It looked gorgeous. But as soon as I double-clicked and went to Turbo, the LED’s went all blue/purple and maybe even a bit dimmer then the top of the ramp. I used a Samsung 40t and the Sofirn 21700, both made turbo go blue. Is there an issue and should I seek a return or is this just a battery being to high-a-drain for these led’s?

Here’s a visual of what’s happening.

The LEDs are being over-driven. The classic markers are tint shifting blue, and in a lot of cases the output is reduced.

FF must not have properly tuned the firmware for 219Bs. In the past, 219B firmwares (and even 219Cs, to a lesser extent) on FET flashlights have used a reduced turbo mode to protect the LEDs. If you’re up for flashing the light, you could adjust this, though you might also need to be up for compiling a slightly customized firmware version. An alternative you could try is to use the lowest-drain 21700 you can, like maybe a 50T or something.

I don’t think I’m at flashing-status yet. I just tried the battery it came Im with and in Turbo it didn’t turn blue, but it did get slightly rosier. Still very very nice but now I’m not sure if that extra rosiness on Turbo is what’s supposed to happen.

I saw a Samsung 50E I believe, either way, I will look for highly subdued batteries.
