✌ FREEME - MEOTE FM1 LH351D (CRI90+) / XP-L HI (4980lm) / SST20 Anduril 18650 EDC Flashlight - ALIVE!

Lookin forward to your report with the switch. I’m not a huge fan of the travel, but at the same time it is kind of nice to not worry about it accidentally triggering.

Dear mortuus

We are writing to inform you that we have refunded 473.0100 SEK for order 83896690. Your order has resulted in a refund for refund for quality problem . Please allow 48 hours for your refund to be processed back to your original payment method. If it is for credit card payment, it may take up to 7-14 days to show in your account

good they came through in the end.

Thanks for you patience.

Took a closer look at my light today, and just noticed the copper has some machining defects. Anyone else have similar issues?

It could be due to the clear coat just like mine. Try to polish the surface for a little first?

Don’t think so. It is quite deep. If there is clear coat then polishing will remove the clear coat and make the copper tarnish very quickly.

After being offered a refund on a number of occasions i think i can write this off as a complete loss. Banggood CS is just lip service now.

if light never arrived u should get money back, i got money back on my light that arrived but had issues… try again maybe?

I wonder if there will be a version two. It’s gone a bit quiet.

Mine arrived today (thanks for the GAW, MascaratumB!!)

I’ve only played with it for like 1 minute but it seems to be in good order so far. Bright, connection is good after I tightened it (it did flicker at first), beam pattern is fine in mine (no donut hole, LH351D version). The noisy button is kinda annoying but nothing I can’t live with (or honestly I can probably find that with a new e-switch or something). I’ll give it a good run through tonight when it gets dark.

Eheh, finally
First order - 14th April ! Arrival - 24th July!

I hope it is one of the non-faulty lights  :smiling_imp:
Congrats again gchart :+1:

New sample has arrived today. I have not been brief on the changes yet but i will take my time to play with it for the next couple of days.

Are we talking about the exact same design + an attempt to address the issues?

I hope they could correct the “beam artifacts” issues for the Meote FM1 with XPL-Hi and SST20 LEDs (the LH351D is acceptable beam, other than lower brightness than expected). The XPL-Hi and SST20 have also lower brightness than expected and with noticeable beam artifacts. If they change the optic in the updated versions, I expect that they can ship out the replaced good optic for those who purchased the early batch FM1 with the poor beam artifacts on SST20 and XPL-Hi LED versions.

Hope we can buy spare parts to fix the older version.

any updates?

There are something i need to reconfirm with MEOTE before i release any statements.

Hmm, anyone else having issues with the light being REALLY sensitive to bumps? A slight tap on the tail makes my light turn off.

This issue seems a bit common for flashlights that don’t use springs on both ends of the battery tube (head & tail). The Meote uses a button on the positive side, thus a bump may disconnect (a spring will usually not have this issue) — however I think having a button may have some advantages (lower resistance for current to pass?)

Should a strong spring not be enough to resolve this? Or will it always be an issue?
