Yep. I confuse you sometimes, you usually think in one direction.
I have thought about spacers for the mule config since Hank made such pcbs. I wanted to try a smaller board in S21A but realized that bezel opening is not big enough and too much light will be waisted.
It will be hard to fit o-ring like I did it in S11. Convoy lights are “meaty”, there is enough room in all directions. Noctigons (emisar) are tiny, thin and lightweight. I have never made anything for f3a or d4 or other well designed tiny lights - they are already piece of art, they are hard to improve.
P.S. I have not read much about new leds for few years. I am right if I suppose that your request comes from the fact that there are various of great leds in 3535 case, while all multi-led arrays like xhp70 still have ugly tint and not many cct options?
Noctigons are tiny indeed but it is the reason I chose this combo. We need some space between LED and bezel and D4S (or even X6 w/ “Angie” spacer) is actually too big since Angie optic is ~35mm and mule MCPCB is only 24mm so we have plenty of space on sides. Height will be slim compared to some spacers but I dont see problem. Maybe you cant countersink a anti-rotation hole but everything else seems ok
I got mine this week as well, really good quality spacers! The craftmanship on them is incredible for the price, and they fit perfectly without any modifications in my S2+ triple. The thermal contact is really good as well when using quality thermal pastes, having no problem with overheating. I can only recommend them, and will probably buy more if needed.
I ordered some parts a while back. They took a long time to arrive due to customs. Parts arrived well, wrapped individually and thoroughly. The manufacturing is clearly at a high level. Thanks a lot!
