26800 Lithium-ion battery

Got the 26800 to fit a FT03 with De-lensed 90.2… copper contact on driver, bored out copper rings and driver retainer, to space out battery tube, flat laying (when totally compressed) alloy gold plated tail cap spring… 4.21v 22.7amps 5200lumen off the T/A maukka lumen tube.

Purchased 4 of the QB26800’s… thinking about maybe making a couple custom tubes for other lights I have…it is a really good performing battery so far…

Wow. A dream walking light.

Now this would make one great BFL build that I would buy! What a cell and the price is amazing!

@texas shooter
Thanks for the link (‘alofthobbies’). Unfortunately, the shipping of $12.50 USD to Canada breaks the bank.

Had purchased a NA40SE and shortly after receiving saw this add-on: an extension tube with this similarly sized battery. But cells not within the OEM device are not shipped here. Would have liked the form factor plus an increased output (6500+ lm).

Backstory; Neal (Gadgets) has this but at 98 mm length. The extension tube may ‘lego’ to some other lights? [link in pic]

What !? :open_mouth: :exclamation:

Did you paint the tube? Put a wrapper over the tube? Photoshop?

No…the head was opened up with minimal clearance, like a reamed fit it is tight to the battery O.D. and a ring groove machined into the neck, a circlip ring inside the head engages the ring groove on the battery to hold in place that is the actual battery (with out the wrapper) plugged into the C8F head… been working/testing and working on a couple idea’s…

I once told HKJ to review the Yonii Q1, which I also bought. He mispelled the name, though. Bad stuff (the charger).

The one that came in the deal only has two leds; charge and full. Different slider, claims 2 amp charging. I’ll stick to the Olight Universal Charger.

Can you take a picture of this Yonii C2000 charger, beside the 26800 battery and also a protected/unprotected 21700 battery?

~

I’ve tried the Yonii Q1 charger from AliExpress, it fits protected 21700 but wouldn’t fit 80mm long batteries.
I’ve also got a Yonii Y2 and Yonii C1 bundled with some flashlight, these also fit protected 21700 batteries, but definitely not 80mm length.
(the Yonii C1 looks exactly like an Eizfan NC1 — in fact peeling the “NC1” label sticker on the Eizfan NC1 will reveal “Yonii C1” embossed on the Eizfan NC1 charger.

It would seem like “Yonii” is an OEM for basic chargers… Based on Google search, I’ve seen a Yonii C2 and a Yonii Q4, but they don’t seem to fit 80mm length either.

You’ll have to excuse Hendrik, he often misspells and misconstructs his texts.

When I said “bad stuff” above I mostly referred to the Yonii Q1's test result, it ended up pretty bad.

Will anyway send a private message to Henrik, or is it Hendrik? Henrik is as I had seen his name before, and the spelling for which a good deal of hits the (G00gl€) forum search makes. Will suggest him to fix the spelling typo.

My bad, you’re right; Henrik K. Jensen.

Any luck with other lights/mods using these cells?

Not yet the machinist I use is slow this time of year. He’s got the tubes from an L6 to cut an extended tube for the Convoy M-3 and the Astrolux MF01.

TS, those sound like worthy mods to accommodate this cell and worth your effort. So far, KawiBoy’s FT03 mod seem the most simple to accomplish and certainly worth while for its other variants. Aloft Hobbies is out of stock on the QB26800 at the moment but is expected to receive more cells in 2-4 weeks.

I cut the bottom off the left side of an Xtar X2 charger so a 26800 now barely fits. Recharged two batteries both drained from a HaikeLite HK4S which has a 2.72 volt cut off. First battery is a Shockli 5500 mah and the second was the QB26800. Shockli charged 5703 mah, QB26800 charged 7124 mah. Both batteries are on their 3rd or 4th recharge.

Thats a great idea for your X2 charger. Those are some nice comparative charging results. Aloft Hobbies is still out of stock on the QB26800. I emailed them again a few days ago to see if and when they plan on re-stalking.

Can you post pictures of what you did to the head and where did you find the spring you used for the tail. I want to try it!

They are in stock now!! https://alofthobbies.com/qb-26800-6800mah-37v.html

Qty 2 shipped isn't bad.
