DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

Got my film a few days ago and subsequently forgot to post beamshots……

My wife has a Cricut that we use for cutting vinyl and paper to do crafts and make shirts. Its basically a cheap consumer computer guided knife. It cuts perfect circles =D

Ive so far added DC-Fix #1 to my Acebeam H40 which did exactly what I wanted it to. It smoothed out and made the hotspot bigger.
I also ordered a sheet of regular Zircon minus green. That went in my green SST20 5K D4S (v1) and it made a HUGE difference in tint. Its a good bit rosy, I almost wish there was a less aggressive filter option but im just nitpicking.

Great stuff overall and Boaz was great to work with!

Thanks Nick ;

I appreciate the feedback

Nice to be able to kill off nasty green tints

Wow am I L A T E. to the par-tay! But I got here as quick as I could.

Need to get me some a that to fix my JetBeam throwers than I now wish were flooders.

Ordered up some:

  1. with adhesive, significant diffusion, 91%
  2. Lightest diffusion, no adhesive
  3. Playing card thickness, no adhesive
  4. Fine frosting, no adhesive, 90%
    #F2 minus 1/4 green

Anybody know how easy it would be to install this in a Thrunite T1? I can’t wait to get rid of that nasty green.

You can just put it on from the outside. Works with every flat TIR or glass.

The T1 is relatively easy to open, there is some threadlock but not the hard stuff, I used pliers+rubber but considering how easy it came it would probably have come by hand. So you can put the diffuser inside if you want.

Awesome, thanks!

Any idea about the Sofirn SP40?

Sorry I don’t have that one.

My SP40’s bezel unscrewed without much effort. It had no glue.

I just received a nice envelope from Boaz with a bunch of sample pieces of the various offerings. I’m hoping to run through and measure the effect each one has on lumens and intensity.

My interest was piqued a little bit back to help fix some Cree rainbows like on the Sofirn SP33 V3 with the XHP50.2. The original DC-Fix did wonders! I can’t wait to see how these others compare.

Thanks Jeff!

I added dc-fix #1 to one of my Sofirn C01R torches and my Olight i3T.

PM sent. Looking forward to testing out some DC Fix #1 on a Sofirn SP40 and SC31 pro. I’ll post some pictures after with the results.

Did something crush the envelope while being shipped?

Actually, I am not a big fan of lens filters. The minus green was for the E14III and I’ve decided to swap out emitters to XPL HI 5000k

Edit, Jeff contacted me through PM and took care of the damaged sheets by sending more

KonaG i think something else messed up your package, not the seller.

I’ve got my envelope in Europe after almost a month being squeezed, thrown and played with between numerous operators and everything was in perfect condition.
That’s the risk we all accepted when being sent in an envelope.

Firstly, I know more about astrophysics than I know about Lee filters. So basically, zero.

I do know Boaz though. Not from just buying DCFix. We have had some great conversations about many different topics. He is one of the kindest men I know. I am certain that he will help you take care of your situation. He has a few life things going on right now, no more or less than the rest of us but, I feel he will make it right with you as soon as he can.

If for some crazy reason he doesn’t. I will send you the $10. Honestly and sincerely, that’s how much faith I have in Boaz.

Copy that Todd, and thanks for your input

I’ve also had only positive interactions with Boaz. I bought sheets twice: first he sent an envelope to Argentina. Due to COVID19 it got shipped back to him, he then sent it again free of charge and even let me swap out a minus green film for a Zircon filter. The second time I bought sheets from him shipped to USA he shipped it quickly and it arrived very fast. Both envelopes arrived in good shape, sheets are in good condition.

I think if people wouldn’t be happy with Boaz’s offerings, this thread wouldn’t be open since 2015 already.

…or someone’d open a “Negative experiences with Boaz’s gadgets” thread.
