[Postponed] Sofirn SP10R - deep red AA/14500 EDC

Nope...

The UI is drafted like this:

Hold from OFF ► firefly mode (~0.2lm)

1 click ► ON/OFF

Hold from ON ► Cycle modes low-medium-high (no mode memory from OFF)

2 clicks from ON/OFF ► Turbo ► 1 click to turn OFF / 2 clicks to return to previous mode

4 clicks from OFF ► electronic lockout (on/off)

It is set that there will be no strobe modes at all.

Like.

I am interested in 2! Let’s make it happen!

All depends, but right now interested in one.

What is the status of the project, Lux? I have already got the C01R, but I find it running out of battery too quickly for my use (mostly as a bulb at night).

I don't have any status update yet. Sofirn's factory is currently quite busy, so there might be some delay in rigging up a prototype of SP10R. I will keep you updated as soon as I get any news.

Interested.

Thank you very much.

With the UI described I’m in, and I would take one with a white emitter too.

I would also like one with a white emitter with this UI, do you think this UI will be available on all the SP10X?

I must admit, I have no idea about Sofirn's plans for the next generation of AA / AAA lights. It could be that they will introduce a whole new line up of lights or focus on improving the details only. What I can tell so far is that I collected as much (negative) feedback about SP10S as I could find and tried to eradicate any downsides with the concept of SP10R. These improvement suggestions can be found in the OP of this thread.

As soon as Lexel and Sofirn have finished the SP10S Andúril dual chemistry boost driver, there might be a nice option for those looking for a better SP10S with white light.

Ah I see; Thanks for the info. You can put me in as interested.

And thanks for your continued diligence in working with Sofirn to refine and improve these lights for the BLF community.

Interested in 1.

Hi, I’m very new to the flashlight community and this is my first post here.

I discovered this forum after making my first flashlight order.
The C10R is the flashlight that drew my attention in the first place, and was the first thing I ordered!
I added on that order an SP36 and an SP31, and I also bought an FC11 from a different vendor.

Have no doubt that I will want to add a SP10R to my collection, and will likely want several of them if the bodies have a choice of color finishes.

Please add me to this list if I’m not too late to the party!

This is one of the main use cases that brings me to the flashlight community in the first place.
I’m sick and tired of bike lights that have such opinionated modes.

I’m hoping to find good devices that work well as a bike headlight (considering mounting options as well as all the light characteristics), helmet light, and tail light, while also being useful for general purpose applications.

I can’t count the times my bike headlights have been pressed into service as flashlights, and I can’t count the times I’ve been embarrassed as my flashlight goes into lightning strobe mode or some crazy thing. That’s a feature that literally no one has ever asked for, right?

Interested! (2pcs)

Eventually I skipped purchasing C01R, as I saw this version coming into consideration, which is much better for my needs.

Thank you for arranging this.

Would be appreciable if you tell him to change the rought knurling of their lights on smooth

Interested. Got C01R on the way but good to get something bigger.

I’d be interested in one or two of these.
