I have spent a few hours trying to buy from AE and coupons never seem to work well for me- lots of coins and crap I just don’t give a about messing with.
But glad you figured it out- that is a steal of a price for this light I just spent 20 minutes in the back yard with tonight for the first time.
I loaded a fresh 25R into my new SC31 Pro and ran it up to turbo a minute- it got pretty warm, about as hot as my IF25a gets in the same time-frame. I ran BOTH these lights side by side.
The IF25a has a slightly wider beam and more spill than the SC31 Pro. Both claim to be 6.5k lights but I’m putting them BOTH closer to 6k, maybe a tad lower (which I prefer). Both have decent throw, but the IF25a wins that one by about 35 yards or so (I estimate). The beam is not too tight on the SC31 Pro and I can see it being a popular EDC. It is slimmer for the jean pocket and has a nicer clip (black) than I’ve seen on most Sofirns. BUT it is about 5/8” longer than the IF25a and I’d guess that was a decision made to keep some mass in the head to dissipate heat.
In any case, both are super lights and Anduril + USB C is just getting more of my attention these days- hum? What do I do with my drawer full of OLD lights now???

I have an old S2+ with the annoying 3/5 mode :confounded: . And another S2+ with malfunctioning biscotti :cry: .
I’m thinking about reflashing the firmware or replacing/upgrading the driver to make them a little bit more appealing , idk, not sure …
I also ordered new S2+ with SST40 with 12Groups driver (Biscotti ?), its on the way hopefully will arrive soon. Hopefully the new driver will be reliable unlike the old one with many malfunctioning cases.
It’s gonna make my old flashlights even less interesting .

Sofirn make 18650 and 21700 versions (SC31PRO, IF25A) .

Something like SP36 (which is multiple-18650) but smaller, with 26650.
The Emisar D4SV2 is a Anduril flashlight with a 26650 battery. Other examples are the Mateminco MT07/Astrolux MF01 Mini or the (bigger) Mateminco MT90 mini/Astrolux FT03S.
I’m really leaning towards buying this light since it has the 5000K option now. I have the Sofirn SP36 with Anduril firmware and that’s a great light with USB-C charging as well.
I really like to know what the SC31 Pro is like to EDC and how it holds up with (almost) daily use.
Ha ha. Me too. I don’t know enough people that appreciate good torches to give away. I place them in my cars, basement, work, 1st floor, 2nd floor, attic? I gave my first SC31b to a friend hoping to hook him but it didn’t take. I have one brother that collects but he is many states away. Maybe a BLF shelf clearing sale.
Got mine the other day as well. 3wk from date order placed, not too bad.
Very floody in comparison to the SC31B, not much of a defined hotspot.
Everything looks and works properly so far but noticed the USB connection is off center, is everyone else’s like this?

Still a little long for everyday pocket carry. The extra mass is good for actually using it though. It would be more of a grab off the table and stuff into my pocket for a walk outside kind of light.
Damn, i thought i checked the 18350 tube when i got it but i guess not, seems the SC31Pro head threads are slightly different than the SC31B,sp40, etc… doesn’t fit
