I had hoped things would standardize on a single layout, but that didn’t happen.

Hi everyone, just got my LT1 and I’m loving it. Thanks to everyone involved in the process.
I’m working on a detachable base that doubles as a bumper. This is the first version as I tweak with the tolerances (I have a very cheap printer that isn’t set up very well). It retains access to the tripod hole. I’m thinking of making it click into the ridges instead of being help in by friction. I’ll possibly do some different types of bases as well. I’m an amateur so we will see how it turns out.
This would also work well printed in TPU for the grip and anti-shock properties, but I do not have any TPU filament to test. Once I tidy things up I will share the file here
I brought a (thrift store..:)) Joby GorillaPod Original Tripod for point and shoot camera,it works perfectly at the base or side screw ,Need to pick some wrist bands to better protection,I agree orange rings always slides out ,every time I pop it out of my LTI case(JBL speaker case)
That base does look sweet. Mmmm…. I wonder if it will fit in the JBL-style carry case, maybe up top with the usb cord?
Should be as easy fit diameter wise. It looks smaller than the head.
If it doesn’t add too much length, it should be OK while attached to the lamp.
In the top? Depends on how much room the straps take up.
All the Best,
Jeff
Any updates on the accessories? I would love to try out the side reflector (foil covered license plate or something similar) as I found that in most cases, I use the light just from one direction, to read a book for example, so the light shining to the other directions is wasted.
Here are some shades I made from ‘collapsible, silicone dog bowls’ for my LT1 and Zanflare T1 lanterns. The bowls were originally only $2/ea on eBay last year but I think they might be a little more now. They work great and I cant imagine my lanterns without them.

Late to the show. Where can I purchase the latest version, and are their colored ones coming? I thought I read some late comments about colors coming, but at the time of this writing, their are over 373 pages I am searching through with limited luck. Thank you and keep up the great work!
I think it’s about time I invested in one of these. Is BG currently the cheapest place to get one?

Is the BLF LT1 designed to be powered by USB-C without the battery cage 24/7? I would like to use it as a nightlight which should run the whole evening/night/morning on 300-400 lumens. Would be a shame if it dies after some weeks/months.

It can run continuously from the USB port (no batteries) from a wall charger or power supply, but i recommend on lower modes only, 150 lumens or less) so it don’t over heat the driver/charging circuits from long tern running.

So I just got back from several days in the woods with 2 LT1s (put to their first test), and they performed so beautifully – the warm glow coming from our rustic cabin made it look like we had electricity and had intentionally created ambiance with lamps! 4 nights and the batteries are still at 3.9v. The true testament is when my wife, completely unprompted, remarked, “those lanterns are amazing – where did you get them? They’re just really well made.” Very well done, everyone!

Sofirn said that a new batch of LTs are coming soon in green, orange, and desert tan. In addition 200pcs will have USB-C output functionality (not sure what colors for these).
Sounds nice, can I reserve a desert tan with powerbank function?
You might want to PM the BLF Sofirn rep to see if that’s possible to do. All that was mentioned was that they’re coming soon but didn’t mention price or where they would be sold from.
Considering previous timelines, I cant help but wonder if “Soon” means the same thing in Chinese as it does in English.,,,, I guess we will know ‘sometime’ in the future.

The HQ ProgKey is designed to work with both.

@Cggzilla +1 your efforts
Nice work, CGGzilla.
I don’t have a 3D printer so I scrounged up a color coordinated bottle cap (Tropicana OJ).
A little trimming of the inside for a nice fit, and to ensure it stays on, drilled a hole and used a nylon flattop bolt.
Here it is ready for travel.
On the light side.

Did the second set of Group Buy codes go out? I don’t recall seeing anything, and I’d like to get the rest of these ordered for holiday gifts.
BLF GT, GT70 and LT1; Olight S20R, SR Mini II, SR52-UT, i3E EOS i1R EOS, i1R 2 EOS; Jaxman U1 UV
Also, are we still expecting to see some coloured editions? That is what I was holding out for, hopefully green and or orange.
Are they the 1 litre sized bowls or 350ml?
Cheap here on Aliexpress Especially if you are a new user and use the new user coupon.
These are the ones I used ebay
Opps… Seems that listing has ended but you can see the sizes. Im sure there are other sellers

Sofirn is probably trying to sell most of their ‘black’ stock before offering colors…..JMO

@Sofirn or anybody else: Do you know when Version 5.0 will be available again on sofirnlight.com?
I’m not sure what coupon codes might be available for Banggood, but generally Sofirn’s Aliexpress page is the cheapest place.

Banggood have a flash sale, AUD73.07 cheaper than the group buy last year due to FX variation
Can’t justify a third
