I have a thrunite T10T just like this one in CRX's mod:

https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/44002

I want to start with an led swap on copper sinkpad in this light because I'm not a fan of the cold-white xp-e2 from stock. With that reflector, what's your LED of choice? - That's all I'd like to know for the poll please, assume I will keep the stock driver, and use AA's and 14500's interchangeably, so low vf is a bonus for AA use, add comments as you like.

I might swap in a 15mm mtn fet +1 and only use 14500's with a spring bypass in the tail too, but that's not important for the poll. I might leave the stock driver just for utility and simplicity as well, haven't decided. Please voice your opinion on what led in that small reflector would be your led of choice if modding this light for general use.

My usage will be as a warm white EDC, I might use the clip to attach as a hat light/headlamp from time to time for close-up work on low modes. I tend to like more throw than flood if I can get it, since IMO, I can always get more flood/coverage by moving the light, but I can't do that to get more throw. Although there's no way this will ever be a real thrower.

Efficiency, tint, CRI are important, but really interested in opinion on what LED matches this little AA/14500 light best in your personal opinion for whatever reason.

Feel free to "pencil in" another led in the comments, or give a short reason for your choice - more output, better tint, efficiency/runtime, thermal capabiltiy, etc.

I don't want to mess with opening up the reflector, so sticking with the 3535 footprint and copper sinkpad. I have a 3v XHP50.2 that was a tempting thought to slice and try to make work with this light, but tint/cri would be worse than the others and I don't want to risk reflector destruction or the huge heat that led would generate.

Thanks for your input!
