What country are you in?
Maybe they are blocking imgur.
Iām in The UPS , United ā¦ Iām Not kidding .
I mean United Planets of Solar-system. , let me tell you those Martians are flashaholics. They have one-million-lumens flashlight for every citizen
To be exact though, Iām in Indonesia.
Is it likely the government or imgur (or United Nations?) that doesnāt allow the access ?
Anything like this ever happened in your planet? I mean in your county?
Itās really common for certain countries to block certain websites. If you were in the USA I would really be scratching my head as to why it didnāt work. Seeing as how youāre in Indonesia, thatās probably why itās not working.
Hello, itās me again !
Hereās another image-hosting+image-posting-experiment of mine ā¦
Hosting site : postimage.org
Device : Android phone , with Firefox browser
Image : guess what ?
ā¦ā¦
Test :
ā¦ā¦
It works, no ?
Let me know what you see :
A. twinkle twinkle little stars ā¦
or
B. flashlight parts (what are they?)
ā¦ā¦
Cheers,
You seem to have posted a single image of the Convoy S2+ and Samsung 30Q
Seeing it fine.
Thanks guys,
Iām glad that postimage.org actually works for me to post image on blf !
ā¦ā¦
The third hosting site that Iāve tried is postimage.org . Itās even simpler than abload.de . Very easy to create account, very easy to upload images to. Very easy to navigate. Very easy āShareā feature, with all kinds of URL , including Direct Link to be used to post the image on blf.
So far Iāve tried three hosting sites that work (for me, on my phone) :
- postimage.org
- abload.de
- flickr
I found postimage.org to be the simplest and easiest among them.
abload.de is also easy and simple and nice.
flickr is , itās rather complicated to find the direct link of image .
ā¦ā¦
Do you use more than one hosting sites? Which one is the ābestā according to your experience? Is postimage.org reliable?
postimage.org is so good Iām rather afraid itās gonna be broken in the future (like when you found something thatās almost too good to be true and youāre afraid youāre gonna lose it ) .
ā¦ā¦
Similar situation with me, Iām always using mobile phone, the screen is small (compared to pc) , itās difficult sometimes. But itās always mobile , very practical for almost all situations.
Iām glad too that blf is still free.
Hosting images on another site turned out to be not so scary/difficult at all, with abload.de and postimage.org , itās quite easy to figure out .
ā¦ā¦
Thank you so much for helping other blf users :+1:

.
For basic image posting on most forums I frequent, I use imgur - I know itās not an option for you, but it is pretty easy to use (on a PC at least) and gives you many options of posting the same image in various sizes.
I also use flickr sometimes - the advantage of flickr is that it doesnāt strip EXIF data from photos, for those times when I want such data preserved and visible, like when discussing photography techniques on photography forums.
Yeah, once you figure out how to post pics, itās not that tough.
I think the hardest part is deciding which image hosting site to use.
Heck, I learned how to post pics with a German image hosting site, and I donāt speak a lick of German!
I had similar experience with abload.de , I was kinda āscaredā at first :person_facepalming:
ā¦ā¦
Iāve got bad experience before abload.de , I tried imgur, Google Drive, Google Photo, no luck at all for me.
I almost gave up and accepted the (false)fact that I could never be able to do it.
Then flickr, itās rather complicated, but it works.
ā¦ā¦
IME, postimage.org and abload.de are simple and easy.
Your tutorial and tips have been really helpful :+1:
Hopefully itāll encourage more people for hosting+posting images. It makes blf more fun.
Thank you so much for helping other blf users :+1:
No sweat.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Itās good to know what works best for certain needs/situations.
But I still canāt upload pictures with this method

Tell us what you have tried and what happens. We need to know what you have done, step by step in order to help fugure out what is not working.
To use correct terminology helps too; at least for me. Ee donāt actually upload images to the forum. We upload images to a host service and then post a link to that in our forum post. So when you say you canāt upload I donāt know if you are having trouble with getting the image to a hosting service or having trouble making that image visible here.
I finally learned to post pictures, thank you for posting
I finally learned how to upload pictures, thanks for the post
I just added the following to the end of the original post:
UPDATE:
I would recommend against using Dropbox as an image hosting site.
Different internet browsers get different image URLs on Dropbox, so just because you can see your Dropbox image on BLF, others that use different internet browsers may not be able to.
Also, some BLF members have trouble posting pics from flickr on BLF.
JUST SOLD a CATAPULT V6
WANT TO BUY something with more throw and hotter spot in about the same package (can have longer handle} for a little more money.
Any suggestions?
This is the wrong thread. This is about posting images.
Try a search for catapult V6 and ask people there your question.
When I post on IMGur do i need to make it public or can I make it hidden so only people with link can see the photos?
