2011 Battery tests ...

Thanks to Solarforce , I got the opportunity test there new battery releases [ Both RCR123A and 18650 ]

So for 2011 , I was kind of hoping to collect some RCR123A's to do a more formal over all test in two parts .

1st part would be performance related

2nd part would be a self discharge test , same as I did last year , but using the cells tested [ same vintage - hopefully ]

I am looking for FREE Batteries as putting together a nice collection would be some what expensive .. [ and I already have a nice RCR123A collection , though of varying vintage ] and I dont need more ..  But to be fair , and equal , it would only be right to test new cells .

So Im hoping if any Manufacturer / Re-seller / Distributor , sees this request , to please contact me about taking part .

I will do the rounds , [ requests ] , and see if I can get any interest going in this ...

I hope you get all the batteries you can get from all the Manufacturer’s / Re-seller’s & Distributor’s because your battery tests are a huge part of what I used as reference when buying my own personal batteries.  Thanks for all of your hard work.

+1

To manufacturers / sellers: Any battery you give to Old4570 for testing will gain a lot more credibility, and sales will surely increase.

And to Old4570, feel free to post the 2011 tests here!

The test was going to be posted here [ and a few other places = max exposure ] ..

I already contacted one HK - re seller - manufacturer ? - as they had some never seen cells before ..

Contacting DX is hard , ill see about KD after posting a review [ BAttery charger ] , They have a charger I was interested in all last year , but the product description was non existent ..

For some reason KD has been real chatty recently ... ?  So after the review [ I hope its a good charger ] ill hit them up with the idea ..

+ Some of the budget dealers have a good choice of cells , but I wont hold my breath .

Would be very nice though to put together 15 or 20 different RCR123A's and sorting them out  .  [ Would take a lot of the BS factor out of the equation ]

I really find it a little annoying when people rubbish everything not AW .

So since we are starting a new decade , well , the best laid plans eh ! [ But I will try and do this ]

The AW RCR123's I have are rubbish.  Got them less than a year ago only 5 cycles and they are now down to about 450mAh with high internal resistance.
