Review request for HKJ [USB Power Devices]

Nitecore Ourdoor Power NPS-series (200/400/600Wh):
https://charger.nitecore.com/OUTDOORPOWER/NPS/
https://www.nitecore-shop.de/power-solutions.html

That looks very interesting, except when you see the price.
I would need some serious donations before getting that, but I would also need to make some test equipment that can test power at 230VAC (I am sort of thinking about doing that).
The problem with testing 120/230VAC devices is to have a load that can handle AC at 350VACpeak with constant resistance (Constant current is basically useless, a high peak current test may be interesting).

I do not test solar panels. I do not have that much sunshine and I cannot easily simulate it.

Hi HKJ, what do you think about the already posted powerbank?

The price is way to high for me to buy for just a review.

[quote=angerdan]

Thanks, I will check them out when I am low on chargers to review.

At the current time my reviews are slowed down, because I am working on a project that requires a lot of time.

Yea, 180€ is some money. What about asking the shop for an copy to review?
.

All of them offers at least 2 ports with eather PD or QC.
I’d add some more very interesting chargers.
And created some table for the features:

.

Sounds interesting, will you publish the results?
Do you want to spoil some general details, like what general topic it is about?

I believe everyone here on BLF knows the value of your work.
It’s really helpful.

The project is already on BLF: Logging from meters
And on EEVBlog: Program that can log from many multimeters. - Page 1

Hello HKJ, how about these power banks!

Thank you for all your effort.

I second Barkuti’s request for the Aneng LT002 Soldering pen.

I do not really want to review cheap soldering irons. It will work for small solder joins, but there is not enough power for larger stuff.
I usually use a 80W Weller temperature controlled iron and has a 120W as backup.

Have you seen the following soldering irons? They are small and portable but use t12 style tips that have the heating element at the very working end of the iron. They work very well. They use open source firmware that is easy to get and load and is also excellent.

I think manufacturer is Miniwave, sold on AliExpress from NovelLife store.

(original offering):
TS100 - 65w, power by 5.5x2.5mm DC jack, use LiPo battery or similar

newer:
TS80 - 18W, power by USB-C PD

brand new:
TS80P - 30W, power by USB-C PD

At first it sounds like 18W or 30W is not enough, but the cartridge type tip with inclusive heating element (is it called t12?) is amazing, they perform incredible for such “small” wattages, as good or even better than traditional 60W irons with the ceramic heater and slip-on tips.

I have the TS100 and uses it as a backup and portable soldering iron.

High power is usually not needed for soldering parts to a circuit board. Desoldering sometimes needs a lot of power and soldering heavy solid copper wires can also require a lot of heat.

can you test American market electricity wall chargers?

I do test US USB chargers and use the US voltage and frequency (I have a AC generator that can simulate any mains voltage and frequency), but I mostly buy them in China. Buying stuff in US is way to expensive due to shipping. I do sometimes gets something from US or Canada, either because a company send it to me for review or because some guy buys it and sends it to me (I got a big box of batteries from a guy in Canada).

In many cases there is no difference between a US and EU models, except the plug.

URVNS 4 port 150W PD3, QC4 charger.
Looks good. Good price, latest standard and of course powerrrr

HKJ, is there a special power bank section on your website?

That is a fairly expensive charger, but it looks interesting. I will think about it.

I am working on better automization for USB-C, they have been a PITA to test with 10 tests each taking about 20 minutes (And some other tests), I hope to automate that to one test. It may take 200 minutes, but I do not need to watch it. This is not directly related to my new test program ( Test Controller introduction ), but it will be the controlling element.

No, they are mixed in with other USB stuff. I have not tested enough to make a special section.

I just noticed this Electric Energy Meter from HiDance… would like to request a review if possible…
(not sure if this is the correct message thread to request review of this item)
