Olight Warrior Mini

230/150min of eggyolk and green you guys keep forgeting...

That’s the main reason i’m (many of us) into flashlights, not runtimes.

ZL won’t change models on monthly basis like hooker is changing positions :)

Yeah, still nothing new at Olight, only Baton painted in Camo LOOOL

@kanton

Yes sir, one of Olight staff anounced M1R is showing up in few months after one guy was constantly harrasing them (Olight admins) about it.
That fellow even created a poll to vote for M1R interrest where all Olight admins voted YES...

Like i said, maybe premature announcement so they had to remove that post.

That’s fair enough aha. I can’t speak for anyone else but I only buy Olights to mod as I really like their efficiency and while I don’t like their UI, they are easier to mod than Zebralight, and priced ok during sales with above average build quality.

Something about high efficiency really does it for me + I can get control the tint or CRI I want via modding.

Would you mind sharing details of sst40 swap? What optic you’re using or is it just stock?

Only done the S Mini before but I believe it should be the same size as the S1R and the S2R. I just use the 17mm here:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32630479277.html?spm=a2g0o.store_home.productList_10213242.subject_1

1mm thick 3535 mcpcb

still considering choices for the S2R, I am suspecting the high VF of a shaved LH351d might be detrimental to what I think is the buck driver in the S2R.

Yeah any other emitter will mess with driver other then the one it’s designed for.

Or maybe not.
And how do you like beam from 3535 emitter through 5050 TIR?

they should have released the m1r instead of this, its just like a s2r but with 2 buttons…

I have the 20 degree optic and I really like the beam profile. It’s similar to the stock optic in that it’s just one large hotspot but instead of a sharp cut off, it just bleeds into the spill nicely.

Nany thx for the info.

I just finished most part of the review on the Olight Warrior Mini. https://1lumen.com/review/olight-warrior-mini/

The beam is actually reallly nice and has a very smooth transition from the outer ring of the hotspot into the darkness....

I have some white wall beamshots to show a bit what I mean.

Thank you very much for the review! And that let me know I really need to get one of these!
Good specs, good UI, poor clip position, but that won’t stop me!
Thanks for the input

I quite like the Warrior Mini. It's tiny, powerful and has all those shortcuts you want. I don't like the Press and Hold to go through the modes though..

Well, although clicking is more intuitive for me, press & hold is ok, specially because it doesn’t take ages to change modes. I have the M2R so I suspect it will not be too much different.

I really wanted a light I could use with instant turbo and strobe for night walks (and winter is coming…), but at the same time use the lowest modes if needed and without having to cycle through them endlessly…

That light has that, and in a “small” pack (if compared to the M2R or the Brinyte PT18 Oathkeeper, that also has similar features).

I have to check the best place to buy it and try to catch the current discount :money_mouth_face: Any clues?

Thanks for the review! I was waiting for the runtime graph. As usual, Olight doesn’t lie about its specs unlike how most other manufacturers do. The efficiency is mind boggling. It seems to be the smallest dual switch 18650 in existence. However, how’s the tint and color temperature? Judging from the 75m photo, it appears to be CW with very high duv but the 10cm pic disagrees. Do you have the Lucky Sun D80 SST-40 5000k? I wonder how it compares. I really like that one.

I guess this makes for a good host for those that can do emitter swaps.

Nice review.
I found one thing that’s most probably incorrect though - you say that the included battery cannot be charged outside the light. I happen to have the Baton Pro, which comes with the same battery, and I charged it yesterday in an Xtar charger.

my measurements

Martin, thanks for the graph. It’s about the same as the one in 1lumen.com. How is the tint? How does it compare with the SST-20 5000k in the D80v2?

Zeroair’s review is up. Olight really is the master of designing ultra efficient drivers. The light looks awesome too. But once you see the tint :person_facepalming:

Sigh…

Neal probably has some good deals, you can reach out to him on FB or here.

Hum, I was looking at his page and couldn’t find this new one there. Maybe it is too soon :zipper_mouth_face:

Yesterday I sent an e-mail to customer service of Olight asking where I could buy the light from.
UK and DE stores do not ship abroad, Amazon ES / DE and AliExpress don’t have it (yet, maybe).

So my hands are a bit tied right now…
Thanks for the suggestion :+1:
