Olight Warrior Mini

Well, although clicking is more intuitive for me, press & hold is ok, specially because it doesn’t take ages to change modes. I have the M2R so I suspect it will not be too much different.

I really wanted a light I could use with instant turbo and strobe for night walks (and winter is coming…), but at the same time use the lowest modes if needed and without having to cycle through them endlessly…

That light has that, and in a “small” pack (if compared to the M2R or the Brinyte PT18 Oathkeeper, that also has similar features).

I have to check the best place to buy it and try to catch the current discount :money_mouth_face: Any clues?

Thanks for the review! I was waiting for the runtime graph. As usual, Olight doesn’t lie about its specs unlike how most other manufacturers do. The efficiency is mind boggling. It seems to be the smallest dual switch 18650 in existence. However, how’s the tint and color temperature? Judging from the 75m photo, it appears to be CW with very high duv but the 10cm pic disagrees. Do you have the Lucky Sun D80 SST-40 5000k? I wonder how it compares. I really like that one.

I guess this makes for a good host for those that can do emitter swaps.

Nice review.
I found one thing that’s most probably incorrect though - you say that the included battery cannot be charged outside the light. I happen to have the Baton Pro, which comes with the same battery, and I charged it yesterday in an Xtar charger.

Martin, thanks for the graph. It’s about the same as the one in 1lumen.com. How is the tint? How does it compare with the SST-20 5000k in the D80v2?

Zeroair’s review is up. Olight really is the master of designing ultra efficient drivers. The light looks awesome too. But once you see the tint :person_facepalming:

Sigh…

Neal probably has some good deals, you can reach out to him on FB or here.

Hum, I was looking at his page and couldn’t find this new one there. Maybe it is too soon :zipper_mouth_face:

Yesterday I sent an e-mail to customer service of Olight asking where I could buy the light from.
UK and DE stores do not ship abroad, Amazon ES / DE and AliExpress don’t have it (yet, maybe).

So my hands are a bit tied right now…
Thanks for the suggestion :+1:

You should probably ask Neal directly. He shared a post yesterday, but he hasn't put them online yet maybe. He only had a handful available.

Oh nice  Thanks for the tip! I am not a FB user so I wouldn’t know that
Thanks again, I’ll reach him !!!

500 lumens for 3 hours may be just the ticket for a helmet-mounted MTB light.

Oh, you are totally correct. I edited that part in the review! Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes Neal is doing a very competitive price for these.

Just placed my order with him
Thanks again for the suggestion ChibiM
And thanks Neal for the deal

And it arrived today
So far so good!

Thanks Neal for the impressive fast shipping you did

I like the light despite some less interesting aspects (pocket clip, tint, no physical lock-out).
But for the things and reasons why I wanted it, it is top

Hi guys. I just bought the Warrior Mini myself and tried to put in one of my old olight batteries in it. It would not work with two different versions that I tried. Is this what they have done to these now? Is it because of the charging capabilities? I don’t see what is special about the battery that came with it, but there is obviously something.

Hi cabla! Welcome to BLF!

This flashlight won’t work (nor charge) with other regular batteries simply because the flashlight needs to have the + and - pole touchig the driver structure.

The Olight battery has both poles in the top, while other regular batteries don’t have it (+ on top and - on bottom).

The battery itself is probably special only because it has the specificities that make the flashlight work, meaning + and - on top, as mentioned.

If you pick a 16340 battery from the Olight S1R Baton 1 and touch the driver and switch the light ON, it will work for the same reason.

It is a bummer that we can’t use other batteries with the flashlight, fact!!

i made this to explain a bit (and bust some wrong info)

Thanks Martin
Always informative

Thank you guys! This makes more sense now. I didn’t realize there were such a thing as those proprietary batteries. This kinda suck that we can’t use standard 18650 batteries but maybe there is a good reason. Maybe they are more efficient this way.
