Negative experience with NealsGadgets

Man was I wrong.
I was concerned about the negative experiences here so but pinged Neal and he responded pretty quickly via Messenger.

I placed my order on August 22nd and was expecting to wait a full month. Well, I just got all my stuff today!
Needless to say, I was shocked. This is the fastest China to US shipping I’ve ever experienced (and I bought a lot of stuff via BG, AE, GB, and FT before).

Waiting on my 18350 batteries but gonna go back and get another one in 5000k. Gonna grab an S21A to make use of the lighted caps too.
Need to buy more s2+ bodies to make some gifts for family members.

Compelled to write a negative review. It has been a month since I placed an order with Neil. The track number was never sent to me. I tried several times to get information from Neil through mail, facebook, forum. Complete disregard for customer. I don’t know if my order has been shipped, where it is, or if Neil has forgotten about it, or if it’s out of stock. If I had not read this thread, I would have thought it was a scam.
Hopefully I don’t have to buy anything from Neal again, terrible service with unknown result.

What’s with people posting positive comments about Neal this isn’t the thread for it.

LUME1 FW3X ordered 23.08 status Unfulfilled . Email was send 12.09 still no replay. I don’t like this :rage: :rage:

I’ve been waiting for an update on my damast FW3 with the lume-1. I sent my first email asking for an update on August 27th. 5 more emails and a couple tries on FB Messenger, still no answer.

I can be patient, but at least communicate…

(And I’ve ordered from him before with no previous issues, so this is disappointing.)

I have a problem with my order from Neal’s. I bought a BLF GT4 flashlight on August 9, Neal’s informed me that it would be shipped on August 15, and the problems started:
2020-08-15 10:43 Shipment information received
2020-08-27 21:50 GUANGZHOU, Arrived at Sort Facility GUANGZHOU
2020-08-28 13:24 GUANGZHOU, Shipment has been processed in operational center.
An alternative (Polish) tracking number was given, which shows that the package is waiting for further shipment.
A month has passed and the package has not been sent from the sorting plant. I wrote 3 e-mails to Neal’s if I could do something about this, but I didn’t get any reply.
I wrote a query to the Chinese carrier, but they only wrote back to me that they do not deal with individual customers. I don’t know what else to do. :frowning:
I am asking for some advice.

I would try contacting Neal on FB messenger. If he can’t help you, then request a refund. The next step would be opening a dispute case with PayPal or credit card company.

I opened a dispute case in PP about a week ago. What is Neals action? He send me fake tracking number from 2 years old package:) Good job, Neal :smiley:

Sounds a bit far fetched and I dont mean the pokemon ;). But in general tracking numbers are finite and I would assume one would get reissued by random generator at somepoint before the system updates to new tracking path.

And what would the odds be of the same person getting the same “re issued” tracking number he’s previously had?

Did you get re-issued the “same” tracking number from years before ? cause poster never mentioned they got the same number but only the fact of its age which would show data from that time especially if the system hasn’t updated for new tracking path.

No old package is not mine, but also to Russia. With a high probability, all tracking numbers that we are currently using were previously used. But I have never seen the old information while checking current packages. And I don’t believe in coincidences like this) 40 days of silence, PP dispute, old tracking with no new info during 4 days.

Sounds like Neal is having trouble shipping to Russia and Poland, maybe a labeling or language issue. But not responding is a business killer. You guys have helped me to know where not to buy. Thanks :wink:

I had to open a dispute on PayPal. After a week of dispute, Neal returned the money and said the item was out of stock.
Two months have passed, I wrote many letters to Neal, all without answers. Is it really impossible to inform the buyer that there is no product in two months and propose solutions. Because of Neal’s silence, I have a lot of negative emotions about his work. This could have been avoided simply by talking to the customer.

I too just opened a dispute. No answers for 2 months. 9 unanswered emails, 5 unanswered FB messages… I dont mind a delay, I can be patient, but at least communicate with me.

And the worst part is, I’ve ordered from Neal a couple times with no issues before. Now I’ll be thinking twice before ordering from him in the future.

So just to be fair, I recently had a very positive experience buying from Neal. (all of mine have been…)

I ordered a Fire Foxes FF5 on 4 Oct, shipped on 9 Oct and received 16 Oct. Not bad when it’s coming from China in the middle of a global pandemic

The light is incredible although the accessories weren’t packaged very well – there were some random pieces of what looked like paracord and the extra gaskets and stuff were just tossed in the box

Will def buy from Neal again. This is like the 3rd or 4th time I’ve bought from him

I think all negative complaints about NG, should also be posted on the “Positive NG” thread.

You know, since were trying to be fair, and keep all future buyers informed.

My new favorite guy to order from is Hank :slight_smile:

I never bought from NG but have followed both threads and have seen their behavior in other deals.
Balancing the positive and negative… I would think about it many times before buying something from him.
NG would have to totally change his behavior… Reminds me of CNQG (Ric-CN), with whom I had dealings.
