He’s reputable, but is also a small operation. From what I’ve heard, customs and mods will need a lot of lead time. Otherwise he’s a well-known figure in the flashlight world.
Still charging, seems to be taking much longer than I’m used to. Though it’s my first 26650 battery and light. I did power it on briefly when I opened it. The light was… blinding.
Are you 1lumen.com? Found the site awhile ago and thought it had the best layout and reviews on the web. Have read numerous reviews already from there.
Since I couldn't keep up with the requests and new flashlights at times, I asked others to help out as well.
So you'll see a few names on the site. They are all original reviews, and sometimes shared on other platforms like BLF
My thoughts on the LEP? I only got to test it briefly last night. Beam shots are just like what was posted on 1lumen and Vinh’s YouTube. The beam is visible to the naked eye with a blue “core” and white edges. I thought that effect seen in the web was due to the camera sensor; but no, it’s visible in real life. I haven’t tested throw yet, need to get to a higher elevation and shine the beam over my neighbors instead of blinding them.
Mine came with an odd glue substance around the button, but it cleaned up nicely. Build quality is solid. I think it’s worth the $155, low entry price to the world of LEPs and hopefully it will compete with and drive the price of other LEPs down.
For anyone who hasn’t seen an LEP… I have both of the Acebeam’s and the W30 is like holding a mile long sword. If I shine it on a house like 20 or 30 yards away, the spot is almost too bright to look at. One of the best toys I’ve ever purchased
