If you click either of the first two links in my signature, then look at the README file, it has info about getting started. Some of the info in the readme might be a little old though, need to update it, so it may also be helpful to try the steps listed in this post.
Just a heads up. I was changing the batteries instead of charging. After opening the light several times the junction between light and tube got dirty and the light developed a flicker and surging. I cleaned it and put nygel on threads. Seems to work ok now.
Would that dielectric spark plug grease be a better choice to keep bare aluminum from oxidizing?
hmm, donāt know anything about spark plug grease, but I do know the aluminum will oxidize over time. But my experience is its typically months, not weeks. Generally a simple wipe with a napkin, handkerchief, etc cleans that off.
Found some no-oxidation grease at home depot

Pretty sure thereās still time. I just bought an orange one today off aliexpress and (who knows how accurate it is) the stock count said there were a few more available. (Allegedly getting to me by 11/15/2020.)
