In his series "What Makes This Song Great?," he isolates each instrument and vocal track in a song, so you can hear exactly what casual listeners merely feel. In this episode, Beato deconstructs the song couplet "Parabol/Parabola." The band liked Rick's breakdown so much, they posted it on the official Tool website!
Of course, the band already knew and trusted Rick. That's why they sent him the multi-track master recording of their tune. Not just anybody gets that kind of perk.
