Watch out for the newer LTO (lithium titanate) chemistry cells. There are good genuine Toshiba SCIB cells and genuine 66160 YinLong cells but also many poor quality pouch cells and 66160 cells that have been recovered, typically with other brand names such as GTK.
Now, GTK IS NOT a manufacturer, but a wholesaler of re-wrapped cells – these are sub-standard and often second hand. I purchased 100 × 66160 40ah LTO cells only to find out they were old used YinLong cells that were lucky to test out to 27amps and many fail to hold full charge. That was a $7,000 hit that Kevin Lee from Shenzhen Foxell Technologies Co., Ltd & Shenzhen Foxelion batteires Company Store on AliExpress sold me. The other was from the same store, 160 × 12.5ah LTO Pouch cells. They tested out to 10amps and 65 failed on their first use. I found the original manufacturer “Microvast” who stated these were “trash” waiting for recycling or disposale (obviously being sold out the back door). That was another $3500 hit to my pocket. Kevin Lee is denying these claims but completely unwilling to work with me on a refund or resupply of the correct cells. Be warned, DO NOTBUYFROM the Shenzhen Foxell Technologies Co., Ltd & Shenzhen Foxelion batteires Company Store on AliExpress! …that is unless you like trowing your hard earned cash down the drain?

You often get what you pay for.
I see too many people bypass my store to save a couple $$ only to end up disappointed. Just recently a customer purchased 400 Chinese cells which he thought was a better deal then my price, ended up 1/4 the claimed capacity. He’s building e-bike packs for his customers, thought he would have known better

I paid a premium for these batteries thinking the seller was doing the right thing, $67AUD, now I can get the same cells for approx $40 in the same quantities. I wasn’t looking for cheaper cells at the time, just anyone who could supply me 100 × 66160 cells in one order. The problem was me not firstly getting a sample, secondly, trusting a seller on AliExpress would be honest and send legitimate batteries. This battle I am still fighting has been going on for months. But now, many of these sellers do not sell fakes and moved on because the real things LTOs/66160 prices have come down dramatically. I am just letting the public know of my experiences with the Shenzhen Foxell Technologies Co., Ltd & Shenzhen Foxelion batteires Company Store on AliExpress. I’ve even asked AliExpress and Alibaba to step in, but it seems they are siding with the seller and just hoping I go away…..
It’s just the normal thing that I see on here of going cheap.
I have a CBA so I always buy a couple and test them to check. That’s not always going to work though because many stores use their own wraps and the oem cell can change.

I have received a few of the LG HG2 and the Samsung 30Q and they look genuine but where quite cheap. I still need to test the LG HG2 in my charger, though.
Just remember that an analyzing charger is fine for measuring capacity but not for checking authenticity. There’s plenty of fakes around with a genuine capacity but shows its true colors on a high load.

Hey everyone new here. I saw this forum and decided to try 8 vtc6 batteries from 18650 Canada. Ordered them 2 weeks ago and they haven’t been shipped yet. I wrote an email 3 days ago and no response. We will see but he’s starting to look like a scam to me. Anybody ordered from them and been successful?

I placed an order on saturday and got my tracking number today… Placed a small order because it is my first time with them. Right now, the VTC6 is backorder on their website.
doesnt fasttech have free international shipping? im canadian, but i think thats everybody’s best bet. their batteries are not particularly expensive either. i havent bought any yet, but i assume they are genuine, they seem to be fairly reputable in here?

FastTech has a lot of shipping restrictions around batteries – while it may say “Free shipping to XYZ” on the listing page, when you get to checkout there may not be any usable shipping options for lithium-ion batteries to that country. So they don’t really cover everyone.

oooh, you’re right! i havent actually gotten to buy anything yet, stuff is just sitting in cart, waiting on their halloween sale. i just tried now, the vapcell 26650 ones couldnt be shipped…damn it
Can anyone confirm if this is Vapcell’s official store?
Yeah,
The official flagship store of vapcell, vapcell and five major brands of li-ion and molicel batteries are all genuine guarantee
@BlueSwordM hey, shouldnt vapcells AE store also be listed for Canadians? im assuming they should be genuine batteries if its their official store. i just checked it out, their other brand batteries are not cheap at all, but their own, especially 26650s, pricing seems fairly reasonable at around 8-11 CAD per? and shipping starts at less than 6 CAD, of course its not very friendly when you wanna buy like 10 20 or even more, as the shipping fee stacks linearly, but its still a good source for canadians to get quality 26650. i dont even know where else we can get them at all? the only other place i found so far is 18650battery at 9 USD per vapcell G53, and their shipping is like 20+ USD
“How is it a scam when nowhere do they mention Panasonic. You’re kind of asking for it when you go for a cheap price.
Yes, they’ve used the Panasonic wrap but these are details you need to be aware of. These are all over the place now. They claim 100% original but this is referring to the brand like Liitokala, Varicore etc.
I made the same mistake when these were first introduced to the market 5yrs ago but I purchased 50pcs. I was pissed at first but realized when I went to open a dispute that Panasonic was never stated.”
so now you are saying it dosnt matter anymore?
thanks.
so i am wondering if they are still selling a genuine cells.
thanks!
I’ve been buying from Aliya’s Battery Store for a while and never got fake cells!
I’ve ordered from them several times, mainly Sony VTC6, Sanyo 14500s, Sanyo 16650s, Sanyo 18650s, always without issues!
And they ship them well, and fast!
My friend, here we are… at BLF. We got to trust fellows BLF-ers especially in this case OP(BlueSwordM). I have used Lucky and Aliya batteries. So far, myself and other BLF-ers, have never hear a complain of receiving fake cells from them.

the issue i have is with those stors.
i was just trying to get an update about those sellers as i saw Funtastic mentioned (few post back) some thing about the way sellers choose to title the batteryes,
like if they dont even mention the brand, how can it be real,
so when i saw the battery description my self, i was wondering.
but reading the replays from yall was real help!
will order ASAP,
thanks alot!

its a legal thing, AE doesnt allow them to list them under those brands.
according to vapcell store rep in another thread:
“But Ali-express does not allow Sanyo brand because there is no power of attorney”
im assuming its applicable for all other stores and brands, but thats also why some stores can take advantage of this and sell fake batteries, because its hard for buyers to distinguish.
I still order cells from them for friends(from Aliya’s store mainly), and I test them every time, and they’re always the same or better than my original cell order back from 2019.
If this is true, then they would be a very inexpensive source of decent batteries for Canadians. The cells wouldn’t be your high drain D4V2 cells but they’re probably pretty decent for other mid drain lights.
I asked them about it since many other stores don’t ship to Canada and the respondent was confused at why I even asked such a question.
