Sofirn multi emitter lights

How common is it for a multi emitter light to have an emitter fail or go dim?

Wondering whether to exchange or refund my IF25A.

In general:

It's not very common but as usual in everyday life, sometimes things break or will not even work from the beginning. No manufacturer on earth is safe from selling defective products, even those who put extra care in quality assurance.

In particular:

Sofirn is a very customer-focused company and I have come to know them being straight-forward in finding a quick and satisfying solution if something goes wrong. May I ask where you ordered your IF25A from, e.g. Amazon, AliExpress or directly via sofirnlight.com? If you bought from Amazon, contacting them via Amazon's customer service should be the easiest way. You can return the defective light to Amazon and they will replace it quickly with a new one. If you bought anywhere else, sending a defective light back to China will probably be more expensive than the light itself. So, sending them a picture of the defective emitter and explaining the situation in a short phrase should normally end up in receiving a refund or in a replacement being sent from China.

I recommend sending an e-mail to eu@sofirnlight.com or us@sofirnlight.com.

I bought from sofirnlight directly, your answer about it being more expensive to send it back is what I was afraid of.

Thanks for the email addresses.

I doubt you will come into a situation where they ask you to send it back to China. A defective emitter is an obvious situation which cannot be rectified by the "normal customer". Should you fail to receive any response in foreseeable time, please give me a sign via PM. You may also send "Sofirn" (that's their BLF account name) a PM as well. Please take into account that due to the "Golden Week" (national holidays in China until October 8, 2020) and some backlog from these days, Sofirn may need a little while to reply to you. Anyway, good luck to you! :-)
