FireflyLite E12R 12*emitters 15000LM 1x21700 Flashlight

E12R, the R stands for rechargeable. This has USB-C recharge at 2A. Thats a very good recharge rate.

+1
Fireflies E12R sounds good

I wouldnt risk mine, UNLESS you told and show me how the 12 leds will be batter able to hold X amount of heat where it goes through Y’s dissipation. Hehe, my hope that will solve. I’m not sayin they can’t anyway…but what are the possibillity?

Thanks for your input.

I understand red light is for some special use, hunting , signal light etc. but Why using red leds for such a powerful floody light?

We do not supply sliced LH351D, just regular LH351D available.

For E21A light, it is another firefly project.

I thought li ion and hot rods aren’t for muggles either? fix for this too?

I don’t quite see the point of giving something to The Muggle that needs to be lobotomised for him to “safely” use it.

Just don’t give someone a pipebomb in the first place, eh?

To me, andy2 would be a serious turnoff, even if it could be “easily” have the training-wheels taken off.

I’m very interested. It fits my preferences almost completely. I like floddy flashlights, so I’m happy with XPL HD but with so many emitters the HI led is also fine.

I don’t like builtin chargers. I understand that you try to increase sales but for a device aimed at enthusiasts this is bad.

Please use good o-rings. The E07 has bad ones, they get lose and pop out when you lubricate; in the Cu-Ti version of the E07 they’re so bad that I ended up removing it, so it’s no longer water-tight :frowning: The red o-rings are much better, please use them.

I suggest you ask Maukka to do a through review. They’re very useful to our community.

It is a powerful floody light when used at max power, but we do not have to use max power. It can also be an efficient dim floody light with long battery life.

There has been quite a bit of interest on BLF in deep red flashlights recently. Sofirn C01R sold out fairly quickly.

Many special uses:

  • night light that does not contain any blue light, which causes suppression of melatonin and prevents you from sleeping
  • once your eyes adjust to the dark, deep red light allows you to see clearly without destroying your night vision
  • some animals cannot see red light
  • some insects are less attracted to red light

The configuration sounds great; I have two requests and a comment:

  • Source the high CRI emitters from a bin just below the BBL; rosy tint is preferable to green tint
  • Removable magnet in tailcap; magnets interfere with magnetic strips and mechanical watches
  • Your new name is lengthy and awkward; Fireflies worked OK

Acturally compared with ROT66 , E12R has got more heat-sinking surface due to more and much deeper fins. Heat-sink is not a weak point for E12R. Turbo mode is only supposed to be a short-time use, in this case , adding more weight wont help too much for more runtime on turbo, anyway E12R is not designed to be a bulky light. We still keep it in compact range as possible.

Will there be an all black version like the ROT66 with Aux Lights?

sure, matt black is a default option

2700k or 3000k, below BBL, please and thank you. :+1:

Hi Fireflies,

Are you thinking of offering a discount group-buy to give this model a sales jump start?

It generally produces much more initial interest and generates many more marketing reviews from knowledgeable socially connected BLF members.

An E12R version with LH351C should be still considered. (A bit less output on turbo /maybe a few percent/, but more throwy beam compared to LH351D, which many of us would like).

Unfortunately, besides the E21A, there really isn’t any readily available below the bbl 2700k or 3000k emitters.

Fireflies already offers SST-20 2700K JA3 CRI95 for other lights, which is below BBL when driven at high power (AFAIK), but above BBL when driven at low power.

True, the JA3 bin from Fireflies was the best tinted SST-20 2700k I’ve seen. Basically on the BBL at low currents and below BBL at high current. Still not as good as the E21A 9080 I’ve seen.

New here but I like the look of the light I would be interested in purchasing has a price been set yet?

Interested if we can get SST-20 2700k.
