[UPDATED M4D deal] Manker “EDC Muscle Combo – BLF Limited”

Thanks for the info gosh, I find the first two moon levels useless and would not want low setting any higher

The more I use this UI, the more i can appreciate H17F drivers

Tim, it is not uncommon for first starter threads to peel, however, I’ve never seen Acme threads peel off at end of cut, from over tighten or not…

In fact, there are 7 levels, not 6. I tested this on both of the lights in the kit (E14 and MC13).

Interestingly.
Level 1 on the E14 not turn off “turbo”.
But level 1 on MC13 turn off “turbo”

I can confirm this as well. E14 doesn’t appear to have a mode that disables turbo, and My “default” on the MC13 was actually set to mode 2, not mode 5. Also 7 modes on the MC13 for me.

Mode 1: E14III
Mode 2: MC13 White
Mode 3: MC13 Red
Mode 4: MC13 Green
Mode 5: MC13 Blue
Mode 6: MC13 Yellow
Mode 7: MC13 PM1

I speak English very bad.
But I will give you some videos and photos, as well as a small comment.
And you will understand everything yourself.
My E14 head has an increased diameter. The difference is 0.3mm. It’s a lot.

As a result, the original o-ring does not seal the E14 head. (when used with MC13 head everything is fine)

I installed an enlarged o-ring. This solves the problem of lack of tightness in conjunction with the E14 head.
But now I cannot use “18650 tube” and “18350 tube” for the MC13 head.
To use the tubes in conjunction with the MC13, I must again replace the o-ring with original ones.
And I have to rearrange the o-ring every time, for use with a different head.
All the charm of this set is lost. You can’t just swap the pipes

After fixing the main leak, I noticed another small leak.
This leak was from the clip screw.
In this video you can see a new red o-ring and a small leak. You must watch carefully. It’s very shallow.

I had to take apart the back of the tube to find the cause of the leak

Attention.
If you want to safely test your E14 for leaks, then simply putting it in water is not enough.
You need to create excess pressure inside the lantern. Then your test will be safe. Water will not be able to get inside. And the excess pressure will tend outward. And you will see bubbles if there is a leak.

Thank you Dimitriyrus for these videos. Certainly needs attention.

Thanks to Martin and to Manker!

I received my order in just 12 days.

My first real flashlight was a Fenix PD35 and these are great additions.

Thankfully, full waterproofing doesn’t matter much to me.

I wonder how this all relates to the declared IPX-8 ?! And can the representative of Munker explain this “bad experience”?

I also want to ask Manker why they split the back button gasket into two separate parts?
I confirm - the back button is currently fully sealed.
But I don’t understand, why they didn’t leave this rubber pad as one piece.
They are the same material. And the same thickness.
If it were not for this separation, the reliability of the seal would be much higher

I’m pretty happy with my MC13 Red.

Did I miss the boat on the deal? I’ve ordered the MC13 from Amazon. It’s hear and I’m in love. I have the green.
I would love the E14iii in Cool White. Too late?
Can I return my Amazon order and get the combo deal??
How much it the combo deal, for both?
Please let me know more. Do I need a coupon code?

Ordered NW & Red 1 Oct., shipped 9 Oct., out for delivery today.

Looking at the UI cheat sheet. Is there really no way to go directly from moonlight to low? Looks like you can go from Moonlight to Turbo, then Turbo to General mode LMH, back to Turbo then to Moonlight… but no way to go directly from Moonlight to L or L to Moonlight. Really? Ok.

There are about 5 moonlight modes. You can hold from off to enter the last memorised moonlight. And then hold to cycle through from lowest to highest moonlight.

Click once for off. Click once again for on to go to the memorised general mode (low, medium, high).

There’s no direct jump between moonlight 1-5 and low as far as I know. The groups are separate.

send me a email please

Interface is pretty simple to pick up. A little weird, but shouldn’t be trouble. These lights, the one’s I got at least, seem very well made. Nice to see a little grease on threads and o-rings from the factory. E14III is absurdly bright. “Moonlight” modes are, really, functional lows. I can only tell from brief testing indoors, but seems MC13 will throw a spot. I will have to check outside later. Good deal.

Edit: Got a few minutes outside with both. One is a wall of surprisingly bright neutral light. The other is a pencil thin beam of red light that throws as far I can see to throw. Both impressive. I’m keeping them.

This REALLY bums me out. I planned on removing the clip right out of the box. Now if I do, I’ll have to fill the hole with JB Weld to keep it waterproof, but will then lose the ability to ever put the clip back on…

I also bought the 18650 tube assuming I could just use the battery out of my Olight S2R Baton II, but It has been brought to my attention some reasons I was wrong In that assumption.

If I’m going to have to buy an 18650 for the MC13, are there any recommendations? I don’t understand anything about batteries/voltage/amperage or electricity in general. Looking at all the different 18650s on Flashlightworlds website, I’m realizing I’m in way over my head.

In the future, I’ll have to only consider flashlights that come with a battery. A little more idiot proof for me…

Others have posted in the thread concerning the clip being not just screwed on, but glued on and more or less permanent.

Why not use a good battery instead? E14III is an ampy light, and Olight cells are notoriously low current.

Look a little closer at his pictures and you will see the “solution” (bottom right) You could add a rubber gasket from an AAA light too maybe.

I will let someone from Canada suggest a battery and retailer that ships within your country.

I just happen to have two Olight Baton S2R II batteries, so I figured I could just use them. Save some money, and save myself the massive headache trying to figure out and understand what battery I would need to buy. I dont know anything about batteries. Confuses the hell out of me.
