Short note: Armytek Zippy on construction site

Had to work on a construction site for a few days and thought I’d take the Zippy with me:

I noticed:

+ it’s perfect to walk around and work in dark areas

  • it’s not as blinding for others as I thought it would be (of course, don’t bring others in danger - switch off when not alone)

- the clip opening is too small for thick materials like this loop on my safety jacket, so attaching it is unnecessarily fiddly

- the clip is not strong enough, I nearly lost the Zippy

  • the button is too stiff

That’s it already. I think with very little effort, this little, robust light is a superior replacement for head lamps in many areas where you need to wear a hard hat. I’ll not again enter contruction sites so soon, but if I have to, I’ll again take Zippy with me (and try to find a way to secure it).

Ain’t got a zippy, but those are 2 D-rings on the ends? Might be able to get a molle strap and loop it through…

It’s one ring, small diameter. The light should have a tight seat on the jacket. I’d probably use tape to secure it.

Thank you so much for your opinion about Zippy! We are glad that it helped you in your business

We also have an updated version of Zippy with extended set that includes more anchorages to be even more universal. You can check it out here: https://www.armytek.com/flashlights/models/zippy/armytek-zippy-extended-set-blue-sapphire/

Thanks again and have a nice day y’all!
