Thanks for the give away Match. I never have any luck with games of chance anymore but I'll try for a chance to win one of your awesome builds.

My guess is 999.9 Lumens

I wanted to say 1337, but that's obviously too high. ;)

So, 1037?

1024

Thanks for doing the tests and the giveaway!

880 ;-)

1075 Lumens.

Really difficult.. the test say 996,8 but in a flashlight are 1145 otf... Let's say 1029 (was 1001 but i mod it because someone already choose it)!

Thanks for this "game"!

1,141.03 lumens

Folks,

I'm noticing some possible confusion here. What I've done was test a bare cree xm-l directly bonded to a big chunk of copper, which was attached to my 25lb aluminum test block. This test was exactly like all the other emitter tests I've performed, except I've eliminated the pcb (star). Just the emitter...no optics, no collector, no worries Wink

Hope that helps.

Sorry Davx but I picked that # in post 59.

[Edited] Is it a T6 or a U2 or....

My spreadsheet says that your old setup had a thermal resistance of 5.7

The new setup Has a more direct connection to the die so I would guess a Resistance of 5.5 . A T6 should give....... 1000.7 lumens

My bride is a big fan of that show, so I got a pretty good laugh from that. Thanks.
