FireflyLite E12R 12*emitters 15000LM 1x21700 Flashlight

sure, matt black is a default option

2700k or 3000k, below BBL, please and thank you. :+1:

Hi Fireflies,

Are you thinking of offering a discount group-buy to give this model a sales jump start?

It generally produces much more initial interest and generates many more marketing reviews from knowledgeable socially connected BLF members.

An E12R version with LH351C should be still considered. (A bit less output on turbo /maybe a few percent/, but more throwy beam compared to LH351D, which many of us would like).

Unfortunately, besides the E21A, there really isn’t any readily available below the bbl 2700k or 3000k emitters.

Fireflies already offers SST-20 2700K JA3 CRI95 for other lights, which is below BBL when driven at high power (AFAIK), but above BBL when driven at low power.

True, the JA3 bin from Fireflies was the best tinted SST-20 2700k I’ve seen. Basically on the BBL at low currents and below BBL at high current. Still not as good as the E21A 9080 I’ve seen.

New here but I like the look of the light I would be interested in purchasing has a price been set yet?

Interested if we can get SST-20 2700k.

They do have the SST-20 2700k and its the best batch I’ve seen in terms of tint. You can email them to make a 2700k version if they don’t have that listed as an option. That’s how I got a 2700k E07.

Interested.

looks cool!

Very Interested!

Thank you so much for listening.

I also love the name Fireflies, and I also wanted to add to what the poster above said about how “Lite” really is just another way to say “weaker” & “cheaper”. But I am so happy to see that you are so willing to listen to our feedback. I really just wanted to write and tell you Thank you so much for being so open.

I LOVE your lights and I can’t wait for more of your work. ROT66 Gen2 Nichia 219B is my all-time favorite light. I’m kinda worried that one of your new lights is gonna knock the ROT66 off my throne, but I guess that’s a good problem to have

Thank you again Sincerely.

Yes, new optics also works with ST20 emitters , But LH351D hi CRI version can get much more lumens , why still choose ST20 2700K of much less brightness?

If the emitting spectrum is examined in both LH351D and SST-20, the reds in the SST-20 are more complete. This is especially important and noticeable, if we go towards warm white. An emitter being 95 CRI instead of 90 CRI means that, the SST-20 is twice as good as the LH351D, if we treat those numbers as subtracting them from 100 - it is half of the errors in color rendering.

This would mean, that if Luminus would make 95 CRI SST-20 in 5000K, I would also not hesitate to choose that over the LH351D, but for now, in 5000K CCT, the LH351D remains the best 3.5mm×3.5mm footprint LED. Nichia 219C is only marginally better, and it is less efficient.

Most of us who already own many other flashlights care a lot more about LED type, color temperature, and tint than lumens or price.

Someone who specifically asks for SST-20 2700K JA3 is unlikely to settle for LH351D 5000K CRI90, and probably doesn’t care that SST-20 2700K outputs fewer lumens. The difference between 7000 lumens and 12000 lumens is barely noticeable, while the difference between rosy and green tint or 2700K and 5000K color temperature is very obvious.

If you can offer E12R with a variety of good LED options, you will probably sell more of them.

Here are some I would buy:
warm white XP-L HI, like XP-L HI 7A 3300K
warm white LH351D, like LH351D 2700K CRI90
Nichia 219B sw45k
XP-E2 Amber
SST-20 Deep Red
XP-E2 Far Red

What will the price be approximately? Intrested in a group buy!

CRI and color reproduction aside, the advantage over SST20 is that it is more throwy than the LH351D. The challenge with multi emitter lights is they tend to be very floody. By using SST20, you get increased throw but decreased lumens. The increased throw will possibly be more useful depending on intended use, and is my personal preference over LH351D. It is easier to diffuse a light, but you can’t make a floody light more throwy. That means the SST20 gives better flexibility.
