What blade did you EDC today?

Interesting grind on that NZ knife, but i would have reversed it so it was thin or should i say low in the pointy end.
I dont really need a knife to be stab able, if i do need something like that i bring my DIY stiletto in some obscure Bofors steel ( i made it when i was 16, and i am 54 today )

That is ? if i can find it, i think it is in my long time storage place.

It’s a full flat grind with a convex ground cutting edge which has been polished and stropped, it’s very sharp.
The back of the blade has been etched to simulate carbon, much in keeping with the stock look from Svörd.
The handle has beef reshaped and treated with New Zealand bees wax.

It’s a lovely & simple little knife.

You know they make it in an auto version now, right?

They also make a mini version of it too.

You have some more shopping to do.

Nice! I knew about the auto but not about the mini. I live in California, so any auto over 2 inches is illegal to carry. The standard just barely fits my large hands, but a mini sounds neat too! Thanks for the info!

Blade and torch.

Tanto blades shape are beautiful and exotic looking but they are really not useful to use and it is hard to sharpen, only useful for stabbing.

My Cold Steel GI Tanto sees more cutting than stabbing especially after I reprofiled the edge. Before:

Petrified Fish PF848 is in my pocket:

You cut bamboos? As a work knife a scandi grind is way more efficient. I fell in love with the CH Sultan.

Haha those folders remind me of the Puma skinner i got stolen from me back in the 80ties

I made a mistake when I planted that bamboo in my backyard a couple of years ago: I didn’t make any barrier around it. Now I have a constant source of material for cutting - chopping. :person_facepalming:
I also added the CH Sultan to my wishlist.

Today I am carrying a Kizer Begleiter. A really nice, slim profile with VG-10 blade steel. Love thumb studs on slim profile knives.

Initially the pivot action was too stiff, but loosened up after a few days of fidgeting with it. The pivot screw must have Locktite on it, because it will not budge.

PM2 Ti S30V on Ceramic Bearings, Clone,Copy,Fake, whatever…Damn Smooth

BORAT 2 from Kazakhstan will be out soon!!!

It's been out for a while now, at least in the U.S.

I saw it on October 23rd and really enjoyed it.

This aint going to fit in a pocket.
It is however going to fit under my Left armpit.
And it is doing nothing in regard to stopping me for trying working with that Kydex stuff, cuz the Leather sheath while fine and all, well i like to be a little different.
And kydex i can tailor to my carry system. ( CC / under jacket )

TBH i am also looking at other grip scales, but that is not going to happen anytime soon.

PS on my 27” 1080 screen, that pic are slightly larger than the actual size. :money_mouth_face:

What blade did I EDC today?

A Benchmade 570-1 Presidio II. S30V. Light weight for its size, my favorite blade shape, but maybe just a tiny bit too large... still, one of my favorites.

Victorinox SAK One-Handed Trekker

I had it for 12 years. I damaged the screwdriver and Victorinox kindly replaced the whole knife for free.

The Odium arrived yesterday so it’s in my pocket today. The Mini Archbishop has been my regular EDC since I got it.

Just got to work, today’s carry….
